I'm pretty surprised about Billups. I didn't think he was going to do it this year. Averaging 18 points and a little under 8 assists, shooting 43%, team is underachieving.

the coaches vote. i don't think there is a conspiracy to embarass melo. i think his suspension probably just took out of their minds how good he had been before.
i don't understand the opposition to parker. he's on a winning team and he averages 19 and 6, while shooting over 52% from the floor. he's pretty efficient. what guard from the west should have made it? baron maybe? his team is nothing special.
do the injury replacements have to be by position? ie. does Yao have to be replaced by a C? if so, i would say camby and okur are both fairly equally deserving.

i still dont know why Amare made it, before last night he wasnt doing anything spectacular and he was the recipient of Nash passes, although last night he really showed flashes of rounding into his old self again. But before that he dint do anything that warranted the selection, but i guess 2 15+ games win streaks will get you in. Truthfully neither did Howard, i mean whats he avging? 17/12 on a bad team? But its the east so i guess he gets the nod.
