The Rookies and the Sophomores rarely put on a decent game but the NBA needs
something--anything--to fill the Friday night component of All-Star weekend.
This year two Raptors will be showcased, both on the rookie squad: top pick
Andrea Bargnani and NBA newcomer Jorge Garbajosa. Absent from the game is
former Raptor Charlie Villanueva, left off the Sophomore roster because of an
injury, and Jose Calderon, who despite having a stellar second season is a
victim of the deep guard draft of 2005. The game will be on one-hour tape
delay to make room for wrasslin' on The Score, tipping-off at 10:00 PM EST.

Basketball beats wrestling any day, IMO. But at least it's not being tape-delayed because of poker (which is so not a sport).

I thought I saw that Chris Paul was going to the Big gmae as a replacement player. If that is true, any word on who will replace him? Jose maybe!

Sweet! I get off work at 9:30 so the delay is perfect for me.
I'm looking forward to it but I always look forward to all the crap on All-Star weekend. It's fun and stupid and pure fodder for basketball fantasy but once a year it's great.

I hope Foye, Gnani and Roy gets hot, they might be able to surprise the sophmore, but I don't think they'll win. I do hope for an upset.
