that crappy coach also had, two i don't remember there names off hand...oh wait i do...Stockton and Malone, i think, im not sure tho, those guys are both in the top 50 players of all time. Stockton himself has more basketball IQ, then this whole team collectively. plus it never lead to a championship. Not that im saying Jerry Sloan's left nut cant out coach Sam Mitchell.
And i think i should word it better...the play is not really a pick and roll per se, it is more a screen in the paint that Mo/AP always set, which frees up Bosh to go to the shoulder, and ISO his man to the bucket...u guys know what im talking about.

Re: should the raptors fire sam mitchell?
Really? As soon as they go on a three game winning streak, you guys all start pressing the panic button?
Should the Mavs have had fired AJ after their 4 game losing streak to start the season. Teams go on losing streaks. It happens. Especially middle pack teams such as the Raptors.
This teams is OVERACHIEVING. Remember that. We're not that great of a squad in terms of individual talent but have great team chemistry and work well collectively. The coach has a big influence in that.
He did win coach of the month, remember that.
This is the first year when Mitchell has a decent squad around him with a solid listen/pass first point guard in Calderon mixed in with an uptempo, breaks down defences guard in T.J.
Mitchell will get his contract renewed, don't doubt it for a second.

What can Sam do?
Dixon's D and size sucks so he is a liability on D but can find ways to score, Mo is just stereky always.
I think noight mo back in starting line up then back to 7th man.

Re: should the raptors fire sam mitchell?
I can't believe I'm saying this, but let's give Sam a chance
I wasn't ready to give him a contract extension when the Raps went on a run in Jan and Feb, so I sure as hell ain't gonna call for him to be fired after a few losses.
let's let 82 games pass before passing judgement, I'm sure that's what BC is doing

We should move the team to a city that would allow them to win.
Sam's gone from possible COY candidate to scapegoat #1. I agree with everyone else and even though I offically hate Sam, he's kinda grown on me over the years.

Re: should the raptors fire sam mitchell?
We lost 3 in a row, so lets fire that *******! If this was way the NBA worked, then Avery Johnson would have lost his job just 4 games into the season. Greg Popovich would have lost his job, Phil JAckson would have also been fired. This is a 3 game losing streek, a Small slump, every team has one. However if we lose to Memphis tonight then i will throw this same computer on which i am posting through the window carefully aiming to hit that guy that always walks his dog past my house.

Re: should the raptors fire sam mitchell?
I agree with just letting his contract play out. Bring in a top euroleague coach and play some euroball, you have the players. I like you to take over the atlantic for the next several years.
edit: 1000 posts, and I wasted it on the raptors board?
