should the raptors fire sam mitchell?
at this rate the playoffs is looking grim, their defense is horrible and he doesn't put the right people in to start the game.

Re: should the raptors fire sam mitchell?
at this point they wont fire him but will let him play out his contract and just not renew it...again, like ive stated before, if Sam is gonna hold onto his job, i believe that he'll need to win at least one playoff series or have the Raps playing competitively in the playoffs...
if he doesnt, then i dont see him re-signed as head coach and in comes Iavaroni or a Euroleague coach like Blatt or Etorre Messina...

Yeah, lets go ahead and tank the season while we're still in first place. :P

Yeah, I know. This is a rough stretch.
Thankfully the other Atlantic teams aren't tearing it up either.

Kent Brockman: "Professor, without knowing precisely what the danger is, would you say it's time for our viewers to crack each other's heads open and feast on the goo inside?"
Professor: "Yes I would, Kent."

just because we were winning doesnt make Sam a good coach...everything EVEN Sam looked good when we were winning...when really NOTHING that Sam did was different. If it were up to him, Bargs would still be playing less then 10 mins a game. He is still pulling players when they are playing great, just to satisfy his own rotation. His play calling is utterly non existent, with such a flavor on this team, the array of plays that we could run for Bosh/Bargnani/AP heck even Mo, could very well make us an elite team, because of all the different elements of the game they bring, but we dont, we run that stupid pick and roll at the shoulder for Bosh, where Mo sets a screen in the paint and Bosh runs out, over and over again every game. THIS is a very well built team, but the coach is a very poor XO's guy, and generally does not understand the strategic aspect of the game. Its like having a CEO who can make the workforce run efficiently but never plans for the future, and so ur company will never grow and expand.

Mitchell sucks, period. Whether the team wins or not, he is not a good coach. Maybe he can be inspirational at times, but.... that's about it.
He can't coach. Our winning should not be attributed to his good coaching.

MAybe we should fire Bryan Colangelo as well - he constructed this team of losers that will miss the playoffs.
In the words of the half assed one, come on now. There's reason to be a little less optomistic but we are still in pretty good shape. Don't overreact.

What are you basing that on, the raptors have the highest FG percentage in the league.
To me, that means good coaching.
