If there is ever a time for a reprieve for the Toronto Raptors, a game against
the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday is it. The Raps have lost three straight and
four of five, most recently dropping an embarrassing 129-109 contest to the
Washington Wizards, a game in which the Wizards had 71 points at half time. The
Raptors just haven't been the same since losing Anthony Parker to an ankle
sprain against the Spurs last Monday; whether the difference is in what he brings
to the team, or the affect his absence has on the Raptors mentally, the result
is poor play defined by stretches of offensive inefficiency and a complete lack
of defensive intensity. Speak of the devil--the Memphis Grizzlies are in town.
The Grizzlies are once again the worst team in the League, coming into the Air
Canada Centre with a dismal 15-46 record. The Grizzlies have lost four straight
and seven-of-eight, and are doing their best to hide the fact they have a grand
total of four road wins on the season (but without much luck). Memphis came to
within three points of the Detroit Pistons in their last game, eventually losing
after a missed Mike Miller jump shot. Pau Gasol had 22 points and 15 rebounds

Odd that a game vs one of the worst teams in the league would be so important, but this is a must win, have to defend our home court and get back into the winning mood

I put Mo Pete back in the starting lineup because I don't think Dixon matches up with Rudy Gay (even slightly).

We'll see what Sam thinks about that.

i just hope the people don't forget how they feel now once we smoke the grizz tonight (in all likelihood). there have been a lot of important notes to take from the last few games, and they cannot be forgotten with one win against the team with the worst record in the league.

now, i don't want to get ahead of myself here. hopefully we can win the game, that's priority number one. then we can think about what that would mean and what the last week has meant. but it should not be forgotten regardless. there've been a lot of meaningful developments shown over the last few outings that need to be retained in memory.

I swear to god if they leave Mike Miller open from beyond the arc the way they left Gilbert and everyone else on the Wizards wide open, I'm just going to turn off my TV.

Bosh needs to start performing, the last two weeks he's been all talk.

This game is a must win for us. We have to get back to our winning ways, and we have to recover mentally and stop losing so many games.

Now, this IS a must win. Although Grizzlies have torched us in the past, I think we can take this one. Let's go Bosh! Bring your A game. Get some rebounds guys! If you get outrebounded by a dozen or more again, I am going to rant like hell.

Well looks like Juan Dixon is starting. I guess Sam Mitchell saw UFC 68 and got inspired by Randy Couture
