Ballocks,

The only benefit to being a Division winner is that you avoid having to play the other division winners in the first round. Which could be a big benefit if you were looking at the 6-8 best record in the East.

Its pretty meaningless if you have the 4th or 5th best record since you don't get homecourt advantage.

And yes, playing 4 of 7 at home would definitely improve the Raps odds of beating CHI, WAS, CLE but if we are not ready then we are not ready and it won't put us over the top.

i see that now, i'm just starting to think that getting the fourth-best record in the conference is even more important than winning the division. i think home-court is more important to the raptors' psychology than in it is for most other teams, but i have no way to substantiate that opinion. it's just an inkling, really.
