though i loathed what kevin o'neil did to their style of play, he somehow taught jalen rose, donyell marshall and vince carter how to play defence. without so many injuries, i am pretty sure he would have had us in the playoffs.

interesting. i guess they've taken themselves out of the running for vince. i like the bobcats' foundation but something tells me that butch would be an awfully bizarre choice for them.

and that surprising snippet at the bottom that mentions sam... if enough people read that, you'll notice that he'll become a much better coach overnight.

Butch was our most complete coach, IMO. I hope he gets another chance to coach in the league, cause it would be unfortunate for a person of his talent to not ever be able to get a chance again.

while no one can deny that Lenny took us the furthest we've ever been in 2001, I personally feel that the team was still playing with the "Butch Carter hard nosed metality" that year and it wasn't until a year or so later that the Raps started to take on the personality of Lenny Wilkens, and started to suck.

??. That's kinda creepy. Sam is like a girlfriend. You may not know if you want to be with her forever but you don't like the thought of her with someone else (yes, I'm selfish).

I agree with crimedog that Sam is on the edge of deserving a short deal. I think a two year extention would be very Colangeloish, enough to satisfy everyone without committing too much.
