Augustin & Brooks
I was really impressed watching these two kids, I watched a game in the reg season of Texas and when Durant went down with an injury (I think he ended up coming back, wasn't that serious but did leave to the lockers) Augustin just took over the game, I was real impressed. He has that killer instinct. It is a shame that he didn't show up in the tourney. I was pissed.
Brooks from the ducks I was watching him with my jaw on the floor, I was so pissed they lost to Florida, especially with the way they started the game, but this was a lesson in never underestimating the heart of a champion.
You think we have a shot at grabbing any of these 2?
I would love to see them in a Raps outfit. They are really cluth and strive under pressure and they are slashers. Brooks has range so that would be nice too. I think they would be great off the bench.
I have a man crush on Hibbert, I saw him for the first time against UNC, but I don't think we can have a chance in hell in grabbing him. I think he will go top 3.

I'm not sure Augustion or Brooks are coming out this year. I suspect both are going back.
Although he may be aware of neither that nor the fact that we don't have a draft pick.

Re: Augustin & Brooks
Brooks is projected second round.
Augustin, I don't see him projected at all, so I was wondering if we could nab em with a second

Re: Augustin & Brooks
They're both great players, but Augustine didn't fair well against the USC, when it really counted, but I don't think either of them will be coming out this year, especially Augustine, he still needs to develop other parts of his game, but he might be a first rounder in a couple of years.

Re: Augustin & Brooks
I thought Brooks was a freshman, I thought I remember the commentators saying that, but on nbadraft.net and cbs it says senior?

Re: Augustin & Brooks
Yeah Brooks is a senior but I can't see what we would do with him. He's as small as T.J. but is more of a SG than a PG (he's a scorer, that's about it). He doesn't really look to get his teamates involved nor is he a superb passer.
I really don't see the need for a 5'11" shooting guard because they're essentially liabilities.

You might be getting Brooks confused with Tajuan Porter, who was a freshmen. For whatever reason I thought Brooks was a junior.
Augustin is a freshmen who I highly doubt comes out.

Re: Augustin & Brooks
On a related note, I was wondering: don't we own NO's 2nd rounder this year via the Aaron Williams deal?
If so, we might be able to get something out of this draft

Re: Augustin & Brooks
if i remeber correctly, we sent that pick to san antonio along with eric williams and bonner (who's quietly having a good year and expanding his game) for rasho. shame. its about ten spots ahead of where we'll be picking.
just noticed nbadraft updated and they now have lasme going a spot past us. he had a great season. the kid is a blocking machine and bigtime rebounder. he has tons opf records at umass, beating out camby and is something like one of only 3 (i think) guys that have had 4 tripple doubles (kidd is one of the other 2). i've only seen clips of him. anyone have a better take? i don't think he has much of a game outside the paint and is smallish for a pivot (but isn't that what they said about milsap and craig smith?)

I think the Hornets pick was for 2009.
