faithful fans love their team an hate the opposition. their love cannot be questioned an anybody who dares do it are accused of hating their team. it is not possible to reason with team lovers.

basketball lovers are students of the game an try not to fall in love with anybody cause love tends to mess up ones ability to reason. they critique teams an players just like coachs do. they enjoy the play of all teams an players.

those who have played basketball at a higher level tend to avoid falling in love with any team but they do admire players an do have opinions on which teams are best an their strengths an weaknesses. basketball lovers tend to think like coaches while team lovers are very emotional.

just cause i am critical of a player doesnt mean that i "hate" him. this "hate" label is only being peddled on this forum by emotional fans who are unable to discuss things objectivly.

i think tj ford would be a great replacement for nash at phx an the raps bring in another euro guard like jose or better. others have criticued tj an to me it sounds like tj really doesnt fit into the raps new style of play.

tj is a run an gun type of pg an he looked good when the raps played that way at the begining of the season before he injured his ankle. after he came back the raps were a different team that played half court offence with good ball distribution. thats why tj looks like he is struggling on offence as a pg.

i hope that tj can keep it together in the playoffs cause that is when the pressure really get tough. he does have playoff experience so lets watch what he does in the last 4 games an the playoffs.

Yes, lets watch and see. TJ's run and gun style is not a downside by any means, as our teams skill level increases and TJ matures, making better decisions, the fast pace will be nearly unstoppable. Calderon and him are both necessary cogs at this point, a year or two down the line, if I was a betting man, Calderon will be gone for some wing help, and TJ will float or sink on his own.

^^ColinBeehler .. i liked tj at the start of the season when he was effective on the pick an roll an fast break but after he came back from his ankle injury he couldnt seem to work the pick an roll. did you notice the change too?

yes calderon may leave after next season or tj is traded an bc will build an international raptor ball team.

Well Calderon hasn't been able to turn the corner and get to the rim like he could in the first half of the season but he's still playing very well.

TJ, on the other hand is second in the league to only Steve Nash in assists per minute. And he wins. He has won at every level and this year is no different.

It's good to be critical. TJ is still very raw - that's pretty obvious. His shotmaking abilities are still raw; he's still raw as a court general and leader; even his ballhandling and ball control seems pretty raw at times. But this makes him all the more intriguing as a player. He still has plenty of room to improve and he's already one of the best point guards in the league! I'm very happy to have him on this team.
