Thumbs up Basketball God loves us!

No Oden or Durant for Boston!

Philedalphia and Boston aint go nowhere with these rosters!
New York is too inconsistent.
Nobody knows whats in the future for New Jersey. If Vince is gone, JKidd would be probably want to be in a team to win a championship. If Kidd is gone, Nets are gone!

Guess what? The division is ours to dominate for atleast next 3 years!

Re: Basketball God loves us!

With Durant in, Lewis is a goner. Should we try to go after him? We may not be able to pay what he is looking for... but we got a good future.

Re: Basketball God loves us!

Could lead to Boston taking their top pick and throwing a package together in a last ditch effort to keep Pierce interested. I can see them trying to pick up a pricey point guard, maybe a Bibby type player.

Re: Basketball God loves us!

Boston would be better off firing everyone involved with managing the disaster that is that roster sooner rather than later. Clearly, none of them have any idea what they're doing. (The lottery is **** luck, but karma's a *****.)

Lewis would be a decent addition though I remain sceptical about his attitude. Also, he probably wants near-max money. And the only way to get him is in a sign-and-trade. Who would go the other way? The last thing the Sonics need is another PG (though Ford and Calderon are bother better than the Sonics PGs).

I hope you didn't curse the Raptors with the reference to the Basketball Gods. They don't like their acts to cause gloating. Please don't smite the Raps!

Re: Basketball God loves us!

we did get off pretty likely. atlanta keep their pick but i'm almost happy to see them do so. boston is still going to get a pretty good player but the difference is huge (between 1 and 5). Philly worked their way into a lesser pick and New York drops out of the lotto thanks to the Curry trade. We could have gotten leapfrogged by this draft (by not having a pick) but looks like we'll get off pretty lightly.

Re: Basketball God loves us!

I just don't see Boston turning it around with their current personnel. Like most people, I think either Doc or Ainge should've been fired this summer. With Ainge and Doc still around and the current lottery failure, the atmosphere just seems too grim for anything good to happen. What is likely to happen is Paul Pierce will demand for a trade after Christmas when he realizes that the Celtics aren't going to make the playoffs.

Re: Basketball God loves us!

If Pierce doesn't demand a trade in June after Ainge does the stupid thing and picks another project at 5, I'll be shocked.

Re: Basketball God loves us!

The Atlantic is a graveyard. The Knicks, Celtics and Sixers face hugh rebuilding efforts without any young superstars on the way to build on. The Nets have seen better days.

But winning the Atlantic doesn't punch you a ticket into the conference finals. The Cavs will be good and possibly great (it's only a matter of time before a veteran all-star bites the bullet and plays in Cleveland for low dollars to take a shot at a ring). Detroit will still be very good for the next 2-3 years. Washington will be in the hunt. Atlanta has a lot of talent and is bound to put the right pieces together one year and become a winning team. Chicago is also capable of winning 50 games. Miami could even string another 2 years out of Shaq and get themselves over 45 wins.

That's 6 tough teams, plus the Raptors.

The point is, the Raptors need to aggresively get better (a duplication of last year's effort, with virtually the same roster, will likely result in another first round loss.
