Re: Raps like Jasikevicius???
I think it might be the other way around. I remember reading a blurb that Jasikevicius, unhappy with his role in Oakland and NBA career in general, would rather be playing for a team "like Toronto" right now.
Better combo guard than Dixon, IMHO.

Re: Raps like Jasikevicius???
He was doing pretty well when he was actually playing PG last year I remember, but so far none of the team he has been on has been utilizing him well. I remember he made some noise last year but the pacers kept using him as a 2 and he isn't effective without the ball. I think he is a good shooter but he needs rhythm and without the ball in his hands he can't get it. I think I remember him being a pass first PG, might be wrong though. I would be happy to have him and I called it a few months back, wouldn't be surprised if he ends up here or blossoms on another team.

Re: Raps like Jasikevicius???
I bet Parker would love to see him on the roster. These two won a couple of euro-league championships together, splitting MVP honors.

Re: Raps like Jasikevicius???
I think Jasikevicius would be more useful then Juan Dixon. Jasikevicius is better with the ball and he will be playing with a bunch of European players which might help him adjust to the NBA game better then it did with G-State or Indiana. He can shoot the ball just as good as Dixon even better too and I'm sure guys like Anthony Parker and other guys who played Euro ball would love to see a European great like Sarunas Jasikevicius on the team.

I'd welcome unloading Jasikevicius....but who would Golden State get in return (supposedly)?

Rough guess would be Juan Dixon, a million dollars, and New Orleans 2009 second round pick.

Re: Raps like Jasikevicius???
I've heard that he hasn't been utilized properly, but he went from a half court team in Indiana to an uptempo GS team and still couldn't get into the lineup.
he came to the Pacers very highly touted, and supposedly the best non NBA pg in the world, so I'm sure he does have some potential to be that uncovered gem that just hasn't gotten the chance to shine.
I'm kinda surprised that the Pacers gave up on him so quickly. He would be ideal if he were our 3rd PG

Re: Raps like Jasikevicius???
Jasikevicius would be a good addition to the Raptors. He's a big improvement over Dixon and would allow the Raptors to (possibly) deal Ford. Even though I don't think that will happen because Ford and Bosh are close.

Re: Raps like Jasikevicius???
I would do just Dixon for Jasikevicius, I wouldn't send draft picks for him...

Re: Raps like Jasikevicius???
I'd take Dixon for Jasikevicius as a Warriors fan. I think the knock on Sarunas was he was slow (and not just defensively, as we all know Nellie doesn't necessarily stress D).
Dixon is a superior athlete to Jasikevicius and would fit Golden State's system a lot better.
Both sides win with this potential trade.

I'm interested because of the same reason.
It may allow BC to more seriously pursue a trade involving one of our current PG's.

Re: Raps like Jasikevicius???
saras for dixon is a great deal for the warriors. we're actually able to do it straight up with the $2.55MM we have under the cap right now (assuming saras doesn't opt out). a move like that will save the Ws enough money to keep one of barns/pietrus (maybe both) without getting killed by the luxury tax while providing a guy that should fit better in nellie's system in exchange for a guy they do not use and can not afford.
what's that worth? mid-late 1st pick? hm...maybe...it would save them even more money. draft picks are sexy and people, especially fans, love them, but the odds that #18 will be able to step in a contribute more than barns and pietrus (the cost of doing nothing: keeping saras and the pick) is pretty slim.
btw, humphries is a guy that could do really well under nellie and would save them even more money while being a better, more complimentary fit.
