How good a shooter is Kapono?
Can we start calling him Kap?
Anyways, here is his (Kap's) shooting chart from this past season.

he's a killer from the corners. not a bad midrange shooter either.

What kind of shooter is he?
Clearly he's money. But when is he taking them. Spot ups I gather. Can he do anything with the ball at all or just catch, maybe a dribble or fake, then a shot?

Jason Kapono is a much better catch & shoot shooter than an off the dribble shooter. If you want proof of this, watch games of when D-Wade was playing with him, and before teams really started respecting him for his perimeter shot, and compare it to when D-Wade was not playing with him, and later in the season when defenders always tried to make sure they didn't let him get too many catch & shoot opportunities. You'll see that when he had to dribble to get a way from the defender, or to get his own shot because Wade did not find him open, his shooting percentage tended to take a small hit.

Re: How good a shooter is Kapono?
funny how you fail to mention he is awsome off the ball, he runs through picks similarly to RIP. He works very hard to get a shot, he doesn't just spots up on the perimeter and waits.

Re: How good a shooter is Kapono?
he isnt real gud at creating his own shot, but as dee-zy said, works hard at finding the catch-and-shoot opportunity.
not worth 6mil/yr, 4 wuld have been gud.
depends on the raptors system tho, i havnt seen u play much.
