Re: Gerald Green on the block?
we are set on the wings..
so my question to bigbaby.. would you do Rondo and Perkins for Calderon
or are you infatuated with Gerald Green, just like you are with Rondo.. and would love Green on this team,
even though you bash his IQ and his skill and immaturity..

Re: Gerald Green on the block?
I think Rondo is already comparable if not better than Calderon. His defense and rebounding is VASTLY superior. Calderon has a slight edge in handling and passing and big edge in shooting. And best of all he's almost 5 years younger.

By the way, I really like rondo, but Calderon has the chance to be something special and trading him for the worst team in the league's spare parts is not particularly appealing to me.
I don't even care about the other players in the deal. I don't like Green and don't think he'll pan out.

You completely ignore his two strongest attributes: rebounding (6.5 per 40min) and defense (arguably the best defensive point guard in the east, certainly in the atlantic division)

haha.. i just find it funny, thats all. how you would degrade a player so that the trade would look remotely fair.. but in all reality, you're in love with Green and want him as a Raptor..
one more thing I also want to point out is that, you kinda use the words "GOOD RIDDANCE" on the mo-pete thread.. now i typed something up and click post.. but the internet went screwy on me, thus it didnt go up.. i left it alone.. but since im in the topic of you (bigbaby) i might as well mention this.. while you bashed him when he left.. calling him a chucker and whatnot.. remember you were the one that was trying to say mo-pete was one of the best wing defenders.. while a lot of people bash you and mo-pete.. you stood up for him.. maybe because he was a raptor back then and he was putting up 17ppg, and you loved him.. but to bash him when he left, after what he did for the raptors.. i find it a bit disrespectful..
now now bigbaby.. im not picking a fight.. but i just find it rather amusing thats all.. continue to do your thing man.. PEACE =)

Re: Gerald Green on the block?
this trade sucks for the raptors. i like the celtics but i don't see why bryan colangelo would do this trade. calderon is way better than rondo, and gerald green flat out sucks. he's just joey graham except skinnier and in a celtics uniform. if we're going to take a chance on him we might as well take a chance on joey as neither has shown much understanding of the game.
I wouldn't do this trade even if it was calderon for perkin+rondo. This team is pretty good as it is with some quality depth, so if anything they want to package these guys for quality, not quantity. Rondo is a downgrade at pg and Perkins brings next to nothing at center. Heck I rather have Humphries. At least Humphries plays with energy and effort, kind of like a poor man's david lee. If we wanted a big guy, we already have Rasho.

BigbabyJesus is officially the ballscientist of the raptor's forum. Except Ballscientist knows when to keep silent so that he does not look worst and worst, he is smart enough to just ask question most of the time rather than rambling and throwing insult.

Gerald Green on the block?

Yes? Well he can stay on the block! Dude is a knucklehead, big time. Don't want him anywhere near this team. I would have seriously hard time cheering for him.
Talent wise the proposed deal isn't that bad, but :
1. Knucklead factor.
2. BC is not giving Jose up to a division rival .
3. See No. 1.

It should be noted that c_dog is not so bright and was run out of the celtics forum after getting crushed in debate once he claimed continuously the Delonte West was better than Rajon Rondo.

Re: Gerald Green on the block?
I actually like West and don't see much in Rondo, but that's just me.
I know Rondo had some spectacular games but I don't see him that much better than Brevin Knight at the end of the day.

run out? dude, i've been on these forums for years. i still post at the c's forum too so i don't see what you're talking about. yeah, #1antoinewalkerfan thinks rondo is better(as do most celtic fans since rondo is the one they end up with and they're being supportive of their team. they concluded rondo is better because he's the better rebounder and better defender, and completely ignore the fact delonte is light years ahead in terms of offense and hustle and play good defense), i still think delonte is better, and we'll clearly see the answer next year, but who got run out? i still post there whenever i want. yesterday i just posted in teh big davis thread.
i've also posted on the raptors forum from time to time. in fact i post in almost every team forum even the nets, bobcats, grizzlies forum.
