i know that website said that, but is that true? i don't know anything about the rules on extensions, but i don't see why that would be the case.

Re: BC and Calderon talk extension
i tend to think he can be extended this summer.
BC is working for a good position here:
-Calderon likes the team
-We've got Garbo
-We've got his bird rights and he's going to be a restricted free agent
At the very least you force a sign and trade like the Joe Johnson move.

Re: BC and Calderon talk extension
Calderon is really only interested in playing in Toronto, at least reading between the lines of what I read (there was an article a couple of weeks ago from AS, a Spanish sports daily, that I posted... I'll look for it if anyone really cares).
Anyway, $6-7M per year really isn't a lot for, IMO, a really, really good PG.

Bargain for Calderon, IMO. He's a starter on almost every team.

Re: BC and Calderon talk extension
I have a hard time justifying Calderon getting paid less than Jason Kapono. I think he will at least get Kapono type of money.

College doesn't mean much in terms of NBA, it is a completely different ball game.
How is that more proven? NCAA Div. 1 College player of the year vs ... gold medal in the world...
hmmm...
oh yeah that's right, TJ played one more year then Calderon, ... he was also injured for a full year.

He must be worth more than that, if you need to trade Josh Smith and the 11th to get him.

Everyone is worth more than they really are if the Hawks are interested in them. How much is Speedy Claxton worth again?
