As Canadians, we'll be left to cheer on marginal NCAA players (no offense to those guys, but they can't compete with elite international squads unless the legitimate Canadian pros lend them a hand).
David Stern should do something about it. Canadian NBA fans believe whatever the media tells them to believe (Carter should be traded, Mitchell should be fired, BC walks on water, etc...). For years, the media have been brainwashing fans to believe Nash is too worn out to play.
I will not watch international basketball until either a) the US stops using players born and raised 3000 kms from the US or b) the Canadian team is at full strength.

Kinda off topic rant, but I'll bite
first off, the U.S team regardless of who plays hasn't been the top dog for several years, so I don't really see the relevance to Canada's success/failure rate. Maybe if the U.S were winning every Tourny/Olympics, you'd have a point, but as proved in the past few years of Int.basketball team unity and continuity has beat individual star power.
and sorry, but you're comment about Nash not really being worn down because of "Media brainwashing" was laughable. Have you seen games when he has to lie down on the floor during games, just to give his back some rest.
How about previous years going back to Dallas, where he looked worn down late in the playoffs because of the pace of Bball he plays. At this stage in his career being so close to an NBA championship, I 100% fully support his decision not to play for team Canada.
