Yi Jianlain's agent short lists six trade destinations (Toronto included)

Quote:
Dan Fegan, Yi’s agent, is rumored to be seeking a trade to one of the following teams – Chicago, Los Angeles (both), New York, Toronto or Golden State. It’s largely believed that the Warriors are the best fit for the agile power forward; even though that seems to be about as far as the trade talks have gone thus far.
http://bucks.realgm.com/articles/58/...i_rolls_a_six/

Clearly teams like Toronto and Golden State are thrown in because of large Asian populations from which Yi can find a girlfriend or future wife (no joke--that is a major issue), whereas Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago have the added bonus of being storied NBA cities.

I personally don't feel he is the right fit for this team, and it would probably cost too much to get him, but you can't look past a rare talent like him.

Re: Yi Jianlain's agent short lists six trade destinations (Toronto included)

Bargs would be wanted in return or 1 of the 2 PG's, I think like Calderon, Graham and 1 rnd pick.

We dont need him.

Re: Yi Jianlain's agent short lists six trade destinations (Toronto included)

This thing has been a complete farce. First, he was taken by Milwaukee when he made it clear that he would not play for them. Second, Milwaukee drafted him not because of his basketball skills, but for his economic impact solely because he's Chinese. Third, he has the audacity to demand a trade to certain teams without even having played a damn game yet. Chinese or not, why can't he stick it out for a season in Milwaukee? The season doesn't last for a year, and half the time he'll be on the road. He can have the decency to play well, raise his stock value, and then get traded in the off-season. He won't be the first Chinese person who would be living in a foreign place, you know. Of course, we have to also remember he's going to making big bucks (no pun intended) as well. So don't feel too bad for the guy.

As for Yi being on the Raps, I have to say from a financial standpoint it's a brilliant move. However, we don't know what he could bring on the court. In fact, I don't really see a package we can give the Bucks which would make sense for us.

say no to yi. unless we move CB4 or Bargs, there's no room for him...and we aren't doing that.

Toronto is a bad destination for him. This is Bargs place.

Re: Yi Jianlain's agent short lists six trade destinations (Toronto included)

The whole thing is dumb, like the writer said Yao plays in Houston which isn't exactly China town.

I wouldn't go near him for so many reasons but I don't think the Bucks can expect too much for him.

Calderon and Graham would probably do it.

Re: Yi Jianlain's agent short lists six trade destinations (Toronto included)

Are girls in Milwaukee really that ugly? From a Chinese person's point of view, Yi is the best looking guy out of the 4 that's made it to the NBA so far. (That is not saying much) The guy had rumored relationships with super models and actresses back in China for god's sakes. I don't know how finding a girlfriend would be a problem for him anywhere. I mean, if he has a problem, what about the rest of us.

You know a guy is not going to make it big in the NBA if one of their reasons was to find a girlfriend.

There's no room on this team for Yi. What happens if all the Chinese girls in TO shoot him down and he gets depressed? We've already had one experience with a whiny *****...

If calderon and graham and mybe a 1st round pick, BC should do it, Yi can shoot the lights out and with a lineup of barg, Bosh, and Yi no one can stop us.

Agreed. Calderon, Graham, and a 1st rounder or even 2 and I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I don't think Milwaukee would go for that.

then we have all our eggs in 1 basket at PG, say BC makes that deal who does he have then to find a suitable back up for Ford?

He has no assets that he realistically can trade without harming depth losing Calderon would already be a big enough hole to fill and this for a unproven player as well
