Delfino has a bad knee
Article in the Globe says Delfino just injured his knee and may miss part of the FIBA tournament.
Delfino has had big problems with this same knee in the past but it seems to be a minor injury right now.

Re: Delfino has a bad knee
I think you'd be hard pressed to find an experienced pro athlete without at least some nagging injuries, such as tendinitis, which is supposedly what he suffers from now.

Re: Delfino has a bad knee
True, but the article quotes him as being very concerned because of the surgery and major problems he has had with the knee in the past. It's not just tendinitis in an otherwise healthy knee. This is a guy who has had serious knee problems in the past, which I was not aware of before.

Re: Delfino has a bad knee
Still a low risk acquisition.
He had major knee surgery and tweaked it. He is debating sitting out so as not to damage it further, and to be totally healthy for the NBA season. He knows that is his meal ticket and isn't taking chances.
No big deal.

Re: Delfino has a bad knee
We gave up so little to get him, it was a risk worth taking.
I didn't know he's had knee surgery in the past, either.

Re: Delfino has a bad knee
Ok so is Delfino basically replacing Dixon & Martin?
Kapono replaces Mo mostly offense, D I would say both Delfino & Kapono replace the D we lost in Mo.
As for the 2nd SG Delfino replaces Dixon & since it has been said he can Play PG he basically replaces what ever D-Mart was getting at PG.
All agree?

Re: Delfino has a bad knee
not the best of news when I first heard it, I just hope this isn't a lingering problem that will surface throughout the regular season.
