Trevor Ariza In Toronto Next Year?
He's an expiring contract this year with a player option for 08/09 for $2.9-mill.
I assume on the open market he'd be able to get more cash then that and if BC could lure him to Toronto he brings superb wing defense and athleticism as well as above average rebounding on the wing position and can play both the 3 and 2 for us giving us Kapono as well as Parker, Delfino and Graham (if we choose to exercise Carlos and Joey's contracts).
Garbo can play the 3 too but it looks like he'll be more of a 4-defender for us this upcoming year with the acquisition of Kapono.
Do you guys think he'd be a good fit in TO and if so what would his price tag be?
P.S. I think he's a RFA so would it be worth the "risky" waiting period to try and nab him?

Re: Trevor Ariza In Toronto Next Year?
he's a multitalented player that doesn't really excell at one thing but is very active, runs the floor, and can defend.
He's young and I think would fit in well with this team, but I'm not sure how much of a market there will be for him if he were to opt out of his last year.

Look at some of the small forwards in this years free agent class, they did not get that much atttention. Pietrus(sp) and Barnes in GS, Posey, Udoka to mane a few.

Re: Trevor Ariza In Toronto Next Year?
I don't think so. We have brought in too many SF/SG this summer already. Unless we are bringing in a star, we are not going to bring in another role player in those positions.

^ Yeah same, I got excited.
He would be a perfect fit in our system. Jack of all trades type player.
