Re: OT: Greg Oden's knee will force him to sit rookie season
The replacements for Oden are quite good (Aldridge, Frye, and Big Joel). However, the three players are face the basket big men. Portland nowlacks a back to the basket centre so there style of play will have to be adjusted.

Thats a shame, I guess the world just has to wait now to see how he matches up with NBA talent.

I think the Blazers will trade their lotto pick next year for a proven NBA vet for the SF or PG position.

Maybe they can sell their pick for cash so they can have enough money to give Aldridge, Roy, and Oden their extensions.

Re: OT: Greg Oden's knee will force him to sit rookie season
Since Oden will be sitting out this entier season, does this mean that he will keep his rookie status for next year?

Re: OT: Greg Oden's knee will force him to sit rookie season
He's collecting a paycheque so I'm gonna guess no (though I'm not positive).
Hopefully he'll come back strong. The thing that scares me is that it's microfracture surgery (I had thought it was regular knee surgery). But Stoudamire's proven that it's possible for a young guy to come back just as good...

I'm pretty sure getting paid has nothing to do with it. A minimum of like 17 games or something is needed, don't know the #.

Paul Allen owns the Blazers. Money is not that big a deal for him if he is excited about something...
