actually he's a perennial all-star, so i'd say he is elite. but i agree with your point that the best players are not the best fantasy players. the detroit pistons are a prime example...none of their starters are great fantasy players except perhaps rasheed, though they are all great players.

I wouldn't say Marion is elite, I'd say he's above average, but elite in my mind are the players that can be relied on as a #1 option and who can be the franchise of their team - the LeBrons, Kobes, Duncans of the league. Marion will always be a second fiddle type player.
