Europe: 4 - Greece, Germany, Croatia, Slovenia

Re: 2008 olympic qualifying
We're CAPABLE of beating all those teams, we'll just need to be consistent and hopefully Nash and/or Magloire comes out and Andy gets better.

Re: 2008 olympic qualifying
Regardless of whether or not team Canada makes it to the Olympics, the real important thing is that the program is moving forward. Next summer ensures that the team will play together again in meaningful, allowing the young team more team to mesh and mature together.

Re: 2008 olympic qualifying
I already have one team in the Olympics, so Canada would just be a bonus lol. Nah, here's hoping they make it!

Re: 2008 olympic qualifying
Magloire and Nash will not play for Team Canada. Leo and the team doesn't even want Magloire, and Steve Nash is letting others make a name for themselves. He's passed on the torch and its time to realize that he's not coming back. And besides, we are lucky enough to have Dalembert.

France finished 8th in the Euro Championships and didn't qualify for the 2008 qualifying tourney, I don't know if there are any other ways for them to get in, but they will not be there next year fighting for the final 3 olympic spots

Re: 2008 olympic qualifying
None of the teams are going to be pushovers, but none are a lock as well. We can compete with all the teams that will be there. Lets just hope that guys like Levon Kendal, Jurmaine Anderson, Olu Famitimi and Denham Brown can all continue to grow as players, and guys like Dave Thomas, Carl English and Jesse Young maintain thier level of play.
