Re: Preseason: Toronto Raptors v. Real Madrid

I CANNOT wait to see Andrea play 30-35 minutes a game this season after watching him today. He is going to absolutely destroy some teams this year. 20 PPG not out of the realm of realisticness I'd say.

Re: Preseason: Toronto Raptors v. Real Madrid

Bargs doing some good things in the low post was the highlight of this game.

How many nba teams can play like Real did tonight? Excellent passing, disciplined system, and lights out shooting from NBA 3 ball range. Their guard play was excellent. They took a ton of 3's and made about half of them I think. And we were still in the game the final seconds.

The O rebounds we allowed are a big problem. But its early in camp and the tape of this game should drive home the importance of boxing out people to the Raps players. It makes you sick to see one guy get a rebound in the middle of 3/4 Raptors.

Joey is looking smoother with his offense this year but his reaction time on D is so slow. Kapono is a poor defender. And even Delfino has not looked great defensively, though better than the other 2.

Could take the Raps about 20 games to really improve the D this year with moving Garbo and Rasho from the starting lineup and potentially having Kapono at SF instead of MoP. Those are big changes.

And with Bosh missing so much of camp now it will be hard to have the D working as a cohesive group.

Hopefully not another slow start for the Raps this year.

And I think that NOW Raptors would lose also against Siena (Italian Champion, TWO steps above the other italian teams): Rome that isn't a great team.

It's preseason for the Raptors, but European teams are in shape yet.

Damn, when AP and Garbo smashed heads, I got a little worried.
Garbo was pretty clutch, Kap is a decent team defender but everything was -meh- at best.
