I am pretty sure that Garbo is really injured rather than just a cover up in order to avoid questions regarding playing time. Garbo is already unhappy about his current role with the Raptors and have gone public with the Spanish media. If he isn't really injured and this is all just a ploy by the Raptors, I am sure that he won't just sit there and be quiet about it. He isn't just going to tell some small Spanish reporter, it would be big news.

It is also hard to tell whether he is hurt or how badly he is hurt from watching him play. He was never a fast player to begin with and it does seem like he's on his regular game shooting 3's and passing the ball. And there is also the fact that most of the playtime Garbo received this season is in garbage time, so you can't really tell if he's coasting or he's already trying his best to move around.
