11/24: Toronto (6-6) @ Cleveland (6-6)

Jose Calderon - Anthony Parker - Jamario Moon - Chris Bosh - Andrea Bargnani
vs.
Cleveland Cavaliers... (don't know lineup.. too lazy & late to put in work for Cavs)
about to start in the 2nd half, got up late, 56-51 Toronto @ half.
Bosh nice left to right mid-air catch switch basket in the 2nd, Bargs midrange is working, Moon hit a 3...
Toronto needs to play better D on the perimeter, and T.O. can get any basket they want inside on the Cavs from slashing, we need more of that.
Calderon: 8assists, 0 TO's @ half.
Cleveland has never lead.

Re: 11/24: Toronto (6-6) @ Cleveland (6-6)
11-108 Loss to the Cleveland LeBrons.
Bosh ties career high with 41.
honestly i know alot of you will find problems with this game as you can alot of games, but we tried hard, it was a great game to watch, brought it back numerous times... you just can't defend lebron any better then we did..
we died by the by clevelands 3point line & really bad perimeter switching on D...

Re: 11/24: Toronto (6-6) @ Cleveland (6-6)
wow, whatta game even though we lost
Bosh with 41 and Lebron with a triple double
Sam coached a much better game today, I thought he made some smart moves (timeouts and substitutions) the only thing I thought he should of done was put Moon out on Lebron for the 4th quarter, it might not of made a difference but we needed the rebounding that Moon provides.
having Rasho today would of made a world of differnce IMO, Big Z killed us on the boards.

Re: 11/24: Toronto (6-6) @ Cleveland (6-6)
Everyone can point to Lebron and say that he had a great game (and he did), but the reason the Raptors lost today was the inability to box out and secure the defensive boards and letting Z get so deep in the post. The Cavs outrebounded the Raptors by 20 (by the way, the Raps only had 28 boards)!!! From the play-by-play stats, the Cavs scored or shot FT's on 58.8% of the possessions off offensive rebounds with many of those coming in the 2nd half for open 3's. Their 3's I could like with although some of them were unexcusable (the defense falling asleep in transition). I would have liked for Moon to play off Lebron a little more because he was getting beat pretty regularly (note: I don't know whether the coaches told him to play tight and help would be coming, but either way I would have liked for them to force him to become more of a jumpshooter even if he made some shots (it would be tougher for the Cavs to get offensive rebounds).
On the positive side, Bosh seems to be back. He blended nicely the outside shot and attacking the rim. The team as a whole shot the ball pretty well. The defense was at times good, but there needs to be more consistency because the same thing could be said of last year's team. I think that the Raps could be a good defensive team if they made smarter decisions and anticipate. The Cavs were doing a good job of anticipating the ball going to Bosh on the screen and roll and by the time Bosh caught the ball Lebron was usually already there to double (which makes me wonder why Lebron's man wasn't cutting to the basket). But overall a good effort, just need to do better on the glass.

Re: 11/24: Toronto (6-6) @ Cleveland (6-6)
Haven't even watched this game yet, but the boxscore says it all for this one.
Calderon: 13 assists, 0 turnovers
Raps offense is consistent across all 4 quarters. Shots are pretty evenly distributed after Bosh. Kapono 11, Calderon 10, Bargs 9, Parker 8, Delfino 8 is pretty much as it should be. Maybe a couple more for Bargs and off Jose this game.
Raps defense is horrid over last 3 quarters allowing 31, 29, and 30. And thats with only 5 team turnovers.
Raps rebounding is horrid, losing 47-28.
Raps 3pt shooting was horrible. Take away Kapono's 3/6 and Raps are down to 3/15 (20%)
Cavs 3pt shooting was great. Take away Lebrons 2/8 and Cavs were 11/22 (50%)
Cavs didn't even use 1 big man off the bench. Big Z and Lebron had almost as many boards as the whole Raps team.
Defense and rebounding a big problem without Garbo and Rasho.

Re: 11/24: Toronto (6-6) @ Cleveland (6-6)
chris bosh has pleasantly surprised me this week. while he's not dominant and will probably never be, at times he does look near-dominant. and his leadership is as strong as ever. i think it's very easy to play alongside chris and that should bode well for the future.
his fourth quarter today was exemplary, imo. we lost but it certainly wasn't because of him. after all, lebron james is a once-in-a-generation superstar, and he can win games almost literally by himself. lebron was outstanding again today. i don't know why cleveland would really be worried about their team, imo. i think lebron james is exactly the kind of star who can win championships with or without a strong complementary cast. if you can make it to the finals, that should qualify you as a championship-calibre team, imo, whether you get swept or not.
that said, chris was equally impressive today. that in itself makes me very proud. i can't help thinking back to vince carter at the lottery in new york city in 2003, wincing when our team card came up at #4. i will never forget that, on days like this especially.
we lost and we have a losing record again but it doesn't bother me all that much. dallas was a much tougher pill to swallow, imo.
we need to wipe the floor with the bulls tomorrow because they're coming in expecting it.
peace
