I think Sam is a good coach, but I people let him get away with treating the media very poorly. Last night, after a win no less, he ripped into The Score's Tony Ambrogio, who had just asked him a basic question about playing time. He made Ambrogio look like an idiot for just doing his job. It wasn't like they had just lost and he asked them a sensitive question.

It's one thing to be sarcastic and witty, but it's another to be demeaning.

I dont mind it at all. In fact, i'd rather him control the media. In the past (before sam) the media always stired up negativity towards the Raptors, where it was a winning season or losing. I watch 'Raptors Today' often, and when it come to interviewing Sam, they ask the dumbest questions put togther, and Sam being Sam, he shuts them up and tells them that he is not interested in stirring problems when there arent any and would not discuss players role/attitude/negativity/progress/production/etc. for the public's interest of entertainment. Matters like this should be dealt priviately, it's his job to protect our team and to prevent Negative media attention. We do not have a Bad-a** player on our team ever since Oakely, But Sam is as bad as Oakely was. This way, he keeps everything in check.

Yea i dont mind it either. Toronto media are just as bad as any other media centre with regards to stirring stuff up. And when youre down, the media likes to do nothing more than to embarass a coach or organization. Sam knew what that felt like in his first couple years here - people questioning his ability and wanting his head for the horrible records. But now with the team in playoff contention, hes there to give the media a taste of their own medicine.

i find it hilarious and have no problem with it, numerous time sam has says he will not answer and does not want to hear any questions about PT EVER!!!!

so that's what you get... Sam is usually really funny with the media if you do your research and not ask such questions he's specifically asked media not too.

You should listen to Mitchell on the fan590 every week. Compare the way he treats those 2 guys, the way he treats reporters is nothing. It's all just playful anyway, I doubt the reporters take the insults seriously.
