Semi-OT I saw in another Forum: Tyrus Thomas Related
With Thomas in the dog house in Chicago and Skiles.. It seems like the raptors could be a great team to pick Thomas up to be the Team's SF of the future when Moon gets older.. Thomas is 21, and is a sf/pf prospect that can be the Marion in Colangelo's offense. I read on the realgm board two names in the possible Thomas deal could be Calderon, Ford, or Bargnani.. I personally think at this point Thomas would play a great role for the raptors (his athleticism at the 3 would be perfect beside Bosh). His outside game is actually developing pretty nicely (doesn't have 3 ball range yet).
What about a Calderon, Bargnani, Moon for Thomas/Kirk/their first 2008 (this was something mentioned in another forum)
or Calderon/bargnani for Thomas/deng (which i doubt they would accept but who knows)
I think that Thomas is more capable playing along side bosh then bargnani is.
What do you think of The chance of acquiring Thomas, and what would you be realistically willing to get him

Jamario Moon is better than Tyrus Thomas this season and possibly until Thomas develops a jumpshot(reliable) and some consistency overall. You're talking about a SF in Jamario Moon who will probably average close to a double double along with 1-2 blks a night while providing you above average perimeter defense, Thomas will need to prove that he can even do that on a nightly basis.
Calderon and TJ Ford are both better than Hinrich this season, and only a fool would want to pay Hinrich 10 mil a year for his services. What role is he going to play on the Raptors? Backup TJ Ford or Calderon?
Deng on the other hand we might have some interest. If he can work out a contract extension that's in the neighborhood of 7-8 mil a year, doing a Ford for Deng might not be such a bad idea.

Chicago will never trade Deng, I doubt they would do a Bosh for Deng straight up trade.

There's no way I trade Bargnani for Tyrus Thomas. Calderon/Bargnani/Moon for Tyrus and Kirk is just flat out stupid in my opinion. Calderon's playing better then Kirk, and Bargnani is better then Tyrus. How would that help Toronto at all? It's not like it's a real high draft pick they would get.

Araujo was the 8th pick in the draft, how about we sign him and then trade him to Philly for Iguodala.
What exactly is your point?

Re: Semi-OT I saw in another Forum: Tyrus Thomas Related
i really like thomas
but i'm not willing to give up calderon, ford, bargnani, or bosh for him.. unless that package includes luol deng.
for people saying that moon is better than him and all that.. yes this is true.. but thomas is 21, id love to see moon at 21.. and thomas is already a better defender at this point. he will be a much better player than moon in one-two years, book it.

Re: Semi-OT I saw in another Forum: Tyrus Thomas Related
ehh the better defender arguement is iffy...
like i said, a good deal for both teams would be Calderon & Humphries for Tyrus & Duhon.. nobody else like that idea?

^ I don't want to trade Calderon or TJ at this point.. unless its a package in which we receive a good young, slashing sg..
but its tempting. I like Duhon.

Wow, thread starter really has an afinity for Thomas as this is his second Tyrus Thomas thread started....
Lucky for all of Raptor Nation BC doesn't feel the same way and passed when he had the chance to draft him
hopefully this will be the last T.T thread I'll have to read on the Raps board

Re: Semi-OT I saw in another Forum: Tyrus Thomas Related
If BC wanted Tyrus so much as to trade two important pieces for him, he would've drafted him instead of Bargnani and avoid the hassle.
