How to Complete Colangelo's vision of Building a Run-n-gun
3 step process to become one of the better teams in the league (and an athletic nightmare)
1. Trade Bargnani, Calderon, for Tyrus Thomas/2008 draft selection/filler
why: Bargnani is not a good player to pair with Bosh in a run-and-gun offense. Thomas plays the marion role for Chris Bosh and opens the floor up with his overall athleticism..
Why for Bulls: They get A great point guard that can guard two positions, and get Bargnani who could score inside and out for them.
2. Trade the bulls' pick (top 7), our pick (Top 18-20) , and TJ Ford to Seattle for Luke Ridnour, Saer Sene, and their first round pick (top 3). Draft Derrick Rose. They take Deandre Jordan, and Serge Ibaka with their selections and get their point guard of the future to help Durant out.
They become
TJ Ford/West/
Durant/
Green/
Wilcox/Ibaka
Jordan/Swift/Petro
We Become
Rose/Duhon
Parker(play the raja bell role)/Delfino
Thomas/Kapono
Bosh/Humpries
Nesterovic
After Nesterovic' contract is up, we would have a lot of cap space (after locking up Thomas'long term) to get an impact SG/C in the 2009 FA sweepstakes, and become the team that Colangelo genuinely wants with three potentially outstanding players (one definitely in bosh)
The sonics get the development of Durant increased, while surrounding him with two bigs with big potential.
The bulls get a point guard in calderon who would be among the upper echelon in the league along with a 22 1st overall selection a year ago. he'd fit in well at the PF position and they would be very Dallas maverick's like when they had nash/nowitzki
I think this is great all around, but i really look forward to your input. I think this is a chance to give each team a chance to get better and build their team in a championship mold, by borrowing/exchanging parts that would make each other's team/style better.

The Bulls won't have a top 7 pick. They won't be that bad all season. But anyways, this initial proposal is even worse then in the other thread. You're basically trading Jose and Bargnani for Tyrus Thomas and a mid-first round pick. Horrible, horrible deal in my opinion. The Raptors would be giving up the 2 best players in the deal, and by a nice margin if you ask me.

Re: How to Complete Colangelo's vision of Building a Run-n-gun
sorry, but i stopped reading after the first sentence. trade calderon? along with bargnani for tyrus thomas? no thanks, you won't find many people willing to trade calderon for tyrus thomas let alone throw in bargnani.
i'm open to trading bargnani, but i don't see anybody willing to give us anything we want in return. at this point there's no way we can get aldridge. maybe the mavs would be willing to give us a couple of draft picks for him.

1. Trade Bargnani, Calderon, for Tyrus Thomas/2008 draft selection/filler
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, u are sooo dumb, i dont even like jose... but i would not even take jose for tyrus... and u wanna give them bargnani!!! hahahahahah u dumb ****
2. Trade the bulls' pick (top 7), our pick (Top 18-20) , and TJ Ford to Seattle for Luke Ridnour, Saer Sene, and their first round pick (top 3).
this trade is almost as bad... u know what why not throw in bosh aswell!!! u dont know **** about basketball... if the raps wanna become a run and gun team... trade bargnani to the sun's for marion.. that is a trade that may work... but the only problem is do we have the cap room, and what else would they want... cuz to me bargnani is trash... i dont know why raptors fans think he is so good. the man can't get on the glass, and he is soo soft... any time someone gets in his face he backs down.... case in point, i remember 3 weeks ago... i think it was raps vs wiz, bargnani went for a dunk and got blocked HARD!! but here is the crazy part... maybe it was just me, but the guy that blocked him Screamed " PEACE OUT " and got all up in bargnani's face... and after that he just went behind the 3 point line and jacked gay shots... and in games after that he was not going to the net... i'm never going to big this guy up, unless he starts gettin on the glass, and i dont care what anyone says... he's ****in 7 foot, moon gets on the glass and comes with the D... bargnani is soft!! i said it
raptors should trade him... it was a mistake drafting him... with TJ and Jose, we can do some big things... but we need someone to help bosh downlow!! we dont need some punk jacking 3's all game... how many years has it been that the raptors live and die by the 3, i'm sick of it... get some ****ing low post players.
peace out people

If by 3 weeks ago, you mean last week, and in the games after that you mean hasn't played since then, you are absolutely correct. Get your facts straight.

This is more like "What would happen if you let Kevin Mchale complete what Bryan Colangelo has started."

I wouldn't go as far as saying Bargnani isn't making an impact but I definitely was in favor of drafting Aldridge on draft day, as I think he and Bosh would be perfect compliments on the floor. Both can spread the D with their jumpers and Aldridge has a nice array of post moves whereas Bosh loves taking his man iso on the wing.

Re: How to Complete Colangelo's vision of Building a Run-n-gun
you can check the history, i was campaiging for aldridge back in the day before the draft.. was pretty dissapointed by the pick but no use caring now..
btw, who say's BC's vision is a run-n-gun?
i don't like the trade ideas in this thread.

Re: How to Complete Colangelo's vision of Building a Run-n-gun
I was very big on Dridge as well for the Raps pick, but I have faith in Gnani, I think his ceiling is higher. Euro bigs take a long time to develop. We'll get there eventually. The scary thought is Oden/Dridge/Roy and thei next nigh pick though. Plus they still have JJ and Frye. Dynasty of the future there.
