Predict Toronto's final record
Now that we are near the halfway mark of the season, I think many of us have a good grasp of where our team is and where our team is going. So how many wins will we have by April?

45 wins and playoffs depend on matchup and health.

Re: Predict Toronto's final record
43-46 wins, playoffs depend on how everyone's feeling as well.. I'd like to say 2nd round, but I'm still not confident we can make it out of the first round

Re: Predict Toronto's final record
i don't know but provided things don't change soon, i know what i expect. we'll float around .500 until a chunk of teams decide to pack it in, at which point we'll go on a seemingly "furious hot streak" against them and prize a final record far more complimentary and misleading than earned. we'll finish 15 games out in the atlantic but hear nothing but how we're in "second place, behind only the celtics"- the same way that the blue jays finish second in the year that the red sox fall asleep down the stretch, no matter that they're 20 games out of first, and expect their fans to get excited for the following season ("we've already proven that we can compete with the red sox").
in our case the following season will be the playoffs, and we'll find some reason to excuse our lacklustre play in games with meaning for both sides (i.e. statement games) and... turn our attention to "next year"... again.
if we don't learn to play with confidence every night, or at least without fear, we're tempting mediocrity here. almost encouraging it imo. but there's still hope.
peace

Re: Predict Toronto's final record
41-41, only because i still can't get a good grasp on this team and how they compare with the NBA elites and the NBA un-elites.
seriously, this season up to date is very confusing, frustarting and inconsistent. last season we were up and coming considering the poor start we had and the strong push they carried on over to the playoffs in accordance to the records after the year 2007 hit. nowadays i don't know if we've regressed or progressed.

Re: Predict Toronto's final record
Aside from a few irregularities, we generally beat the teams we should and lose to the teams we should. Considering we play in the east, there are a lot more teams in that former category than in the latter. As the season progresses and we adapt to our team's present state - not using injuries as an excuse for missing pieces, but injuries do change the philosophy and style of the team, especially when your starting point guard goes down - we should see this become a more consistent trend.
I chose 43-46 wins, but more towards the 46 side. I think 45-37 is a reasonable prediction.
