ESPN: Raptors Tried To Trade For D.Stoudamire
Quote:

Boston is Stoudamire's preferred destination. Phoenix is an option. Toronto, which tried unsuccessfully to trade for Stoudamire, could be a possibility should Stoudamire decide to end his career where it began. -- The Commercial-Appeal

Who would have gone the other way in this deal? J.Graham? J.Dixon?. The trade of coarse wouldn't have been a major one, but its nice to see the rumors of Colangelo looking to make a deal appear to be true. This also raises the question is Colangelo working on some other trades, and if he fails to sign D.Stoudamire what other PG are avalible that he could be going after.

Whoever matched his salary. I can't remember what it was. Maybe Graham and Dixon or something like that. That would've cleared a roster spot, too.

Let Delfino play PG. He's better than Damon, Martin, and Dixon.

If true, it really brings questions to how long TJ will be out for and how serious his injury is...

Re: ESPN: Raptors Tried To Trade For D.Stoudamire
Stoudamire was set ro earn $4.65 mill next season. Dixon and Graham would have matched. This deal might have worked if Stoudamire was a free agent after this season.

my thoughts exactly. delfino has the handles, the size, the savvyness and the hot shooting hand. what else can you want ? just teach him the plays from the '1' perspective and he'll make a killing backing up calderon.

Re: ESPN: Raptors Tried To Trade For D.Stoudamire
Delfino is better playing the 2 in my opinion. When he's on the court with Calderon, Delfino gets plenty of open 3s and he usually knocks them down. I know he can handle the ball, but it kind of takes away his scoring opportunities and the Raps right now need that scoring from the bench.

I've been wondering for years why they haven't had a game wearing their original jerseys. That would be so cool.

Good to know BC is looking at different options, he always seems to have his finger on the trigger ready.
