Time for Delfino to start?

I think Sam should consider bringing Moon off the bench, and put the Argentinian alongside Jose in the starting lineup. I think he fits better with Calderon and Moon is the better fit with TJ, or should be. I like Moon in the starting lineup due to his rebounding ability but I think the unit would start a bit better with Carlos there.

Re: Time for Delfino to start?

it is an interesting idea.. i certainly don't think it matters either way, but you are right, i do think its noticeable enough that dreaded Ford/Moon & Calderon/Delfino combinations match eachother well.

Carlos is no slouch rebounding, it wouldnt hurt in that aspect inserting him into the SL.

however with Moon off the bench, who is are spark plug, energy guy coming in? TJ? Kapono?

TJ changes the pace off the bench....also a quick hit by Kapono gives the team a shot in the arm.....and Moon has the ability to bring it off the bench!

Re: Time for Delfino to start?

Delfino's role is coming off the bench. He should, perhaps, get more minutes.

I don't understand the fascination with starting. Finishing a game is far more important.

Re: Time for Delfino to start?

Moon works better in the starting lineup then off the bench because it frees up some room for him. Delfino can create his own shots.

Better use of our resources to keep the status quo

Re: Time for Delfino to start?

^ But Moon can't create any shot except that awful jumper of his he takes way too often, so it's better for TJ to set him up, because TJ is more of a creator than Jose.

Also, it's better to start off the tone of the game with a player like Delfino who brings things to the table Moon does not, like defense, slashing, and toughness.

It's definetly worth a shot.

Man, do we miss Garbo right now.
