3/2 Game Thread: Toronto Raptors 32-25 @ Charlotte Bobcats (19-39)
Starting Lineup
Toronto Raptors
Rasho Nesterovic
Bargnani
Moon
Parker
Calderon
Charlotte Bobcats
Nazr Mohammad
Emeka Okafor
Matt Carroll
Jason Richardson
Raymond Felton
The Raptors look to bounce back after a disappointing loss at home against the shorthanded Pacers. Bosh who left the Pacers game after the first quarter because of a sore knee will not be available, reports indicate that he may be out for a week or more. On the Bobcats side, Gerald Wallace will also miss the game due to injury. The Bobcats have lost 6 straight, coming off a loss against the Celtics.
Keys to the game
- Rebounding. Without Bosh in there, the Raptors will have a hard time fighting off Okafor on the boards. Bargnani and Rasho needs to gives some serious effort securing the rebounds.
- Bargnani. Eventhough Bargnani scored 20+ in the previous Pacers game, he played quite poorly in my opinion. He needs to let the game come to him and not just force shots up, especially outside shots. We will see what type of game Bargnani will have within the first 5 minutes of the game, if he's having a bad one, then the Raptors will be in trouble as our frontline scoring will pretty much be nil.
- Calderon/TJ. Felton can't guard either one of them. Our guards need to establish that advantage early. Calderon has been off the past few games. With Bosh gone, he needs to get on track and provide some scoring.

I get the TSN feed today. Fun!
EDIT: I'd forgotten how completely ****ty and repetitive Canadian commercials are. On the plus side, I don't have to put up with local Charlotte ads.

Rasho for PM!
Calderon for Deputy PM! (He has a buttload of assists already.)

good to see Graham get some burn. If only this could happen before the trade deadline maybe we would've gotten something for him.

Sam obviously didn't appreciate Bargs' shooting. Going small in the 2nd quarter. Still lacking that offensive potency.

Sam going with some unorthodox lineups which haven't really panned out but I don't mind the experimentation.
The team is out of sync without Bosh and lack a sense of urgency. Jose's game has come back to earth with TJ backing him up. Bargs picks up two fouls before getting anything accomplished. Joey and Hump need to play like thugs when they come in.
Disappointing first half after losing to the Pacers. Let's hope Bargs and co can put it together and play with a killer instinct in the second.

Wow it really sucks that they only showed 1 of the 2 games on ABC today. Especially when the 2nd one turned out to be a great game with Kobe scoring 52. Also does anyone know why "the score" only shows one of the 2 games on TNT thursday.

Re: 3/2 Game Thread: Toronto Raptors 32-25 @ Charlotte Bobcats (19-39)
Ray Felton looking STRONG tonight. So are the Bobcats. I'm speaking of physical strength. Of course it's the Raptors that are making them look strong. This is why Sam is giving Joey and Kris burn.
Bobcats are scrubtastic (Othella is still in the leauge!) but they're actually a pretty competitive team.
Dudley's a big dude for a small forward eh?
Raps energy is so down right now. They had plenty of rest in February so this is particularly disppointing.

On topic: run some ****ing screens for Kapono! Let him get on track! You ponied up millions and millions of dollars for a reason!
streetballa: No idea why you only got one of the 2 games on ABC. You should've gotten both (they were both national games and thus there were no blackouts anywhere). The Score probably only shows one of the TNT games due to contractual obligations. But you can get TNT on cable/dish in Canada, right?

Bobs playing with fervor and swagger. Their defense and rebounding are getting it done and they're making offensive plays with force.
Raps looking slow, weak, and untalented.
Now Sam goes big and Slovenian. Cmon boys.
