Bosh admits not trusting his teammates
Now comes the revelation from franchise player Chris Bosh that he lost trust in his teammates. As teams locked in on Bosh and forced the ball out of his hands, the three-time all-star admits he wasn't exactly sold on his teammates stepping up when he deferred. At least in the past two games, Bosh, when he reflects on the blown chances to put away Charlotte at home and New Jersey on the road, says he doubted shooters to make shots, which is understandable given the Raptors went a woeful 1-of-10 from three-point land in the final quarter on Saturday. "I have to do a better job of trusting my teammates,'' Bosh said yesterday as the Raptors essentially went back to drawing board in the wake of three successive losses to sub-.500 teams that have dropped Toronto (38-39) one game under .500. "I've lacked in that and I can be man enough to say I've made that mistake. I've talked with the coaches and they told me the same thing -- trust my teammates."

Re: Bosh admits not trusting his teammates
Man I hope this guy has a long and fruitful career with the Raptors. Is there more than a handful more intelligent, articulate players in the league with the ability to say the right thing, in humility, every time.
Our ball movement, which I thought to be our signature coming into the season, has all but dried up and guys are having being forced to shoot challenged shots, generally shooting without confidence even if the shots are open. I foresaw the ball zipping around the court and guys like Kapono having a field day. For one reason or a myriad it just hasn't happened but Bosh should be one of the best in the biz at drawing the double and needs to get back to that.
Chris Bosh is good enough and smart enough to turn this team around, even this late in the season, and gosh darnit, people like him

No cause most of the star players in the NBA don't need to be humble cause they get it done. That is why they are stars and not scholars. Are you kidding me? Score the ball. It's what your paid to do.

Re: Bosh admits not trusting his teammates
I think this is just an elaborate way to say "I have a hard time passing out of double teams." Bosh's decision making skills is probably his weakest part of his offensive game. He holds the ball too long and almost everyone in the gym knows whether he's going to shoot or pass. As much as Bargnani sucked this year, his passing skills when he's on the move is better than Bosh imo.

Re: Bosh admits not trusting his teammates
listen, this year has been so frustrating, i can't even watch the team do pressers anymore. now that the season's over, i think my frustration will grow because the team may begin to forget how badly it underperformed all year the later we get into the summer (and hence, pretend like it never happened). i thought the same mistake was committed last season.
why? because of this player: chris bosh. he has just had his two best seasons but i wouldn't call this season an improvement over last. while we tell the fans to wait until our players grow up a little bit (or worse, get healthier), i think we're missing the boat. since ~2004, i never thought of chris bosh as a 10-time all-star in coming, if only because of his propensity for nagging injuries. has anyone noticed how he runs now? this man's legs are simply not fit for a long career of success. it's not his fault, of course. but i'd say he's got 5-6 years at this level tops, and we've just spent two of those talking about "the future".
the time for chris bosh is now. he's not getting much better, he's just getting older. he gets tired very quickly now (that will get worse), he's had injuries (in the last 12 months) to his foot, ankle, knee and groin. pretty much everything. that's his body. i believe it'll happen every year. instead of pretending like we can't see five feet ahead of ourselves, i believe we need to start making our decisions proactively- in that case, it means building for the now. we've already shown what this team can do (cannot do) without chris bosh.
i'm been of this mind for a long time, and not necessarily because i'm paranoid. i believe it to be the unmitigated truth. if i need to parade to top of the mountain to get the point across, i will! this season was nothing short of a waste on pretty much every level. if the team waits again, you can mark it in stone as a missed opportunity. i hope that's just opinion but it may be closer to fact.
peace

Re: Bosh admits not trusting his teammates
Now Im going to seem crazy, but what would anyone think of moving Bosh? ballocks makes great points about his longevity, and his overall injury status, but I also question whether or not a player with his game is the best type of player to build around. Maybe it's just personal preference, but I've always preferred inside players to finesse players. With Garnett you have an exception because he's a hell of a rebounder, passer and defender. Not to mention that we'll probably get more from him around this time then we ever will in the future. I don't know, I'm probably being really preemptive, but I think it should be at least thought about.

LOL @ Nowitzki and Bargnani playing together. We'd get crushed on the boards on a regular basis if we don't already.
