Who would you rather face?
currently the raps are matched up against the pistons and thats a big nono, for the most time before cb went down the raps were in that 4/5th seed matchup and that wasnt a good match up either cos of the lebron factor and supposedly the raps match up really well against the magic. who do you think the raps could beat in a first round match up

Re: Who would you rather face?
Yeah, Orlando is the obvious choice. No disrespect to them, but Detroit and Lebron are just way scarier than the Magic.

Re: Who would you rather face?
I want the Pistons. I want to see a real test of this team and see how we measure up.

Re: Who would you rather face?
If the Raptors can beat Orlando then they will have that chance to go against the Pistons. If they can't even beat Orlando then what is the point?

Re: Who would you rather face?
Gimme Detroit. I want to slay the dragon...(or rather the dragon will slay us).
Besides, the Raps need to man up and really test themselves. If they were to get by the Pistons in the first round, the boost of confidence for the team going forward would be huge and it would signal our arrival in the East (imo).

Re: Who would you rather face?
I would rather play Boston, I wanna watch Garnett, Allen, and Peirce dominate. At least that'll be more entertaining that watching Detroit.

Re: Who would you rather face?
my opinion hasn't really changed- i don't expect to lose in the playoffs to anyone other than cleveland and detroit. we'll probably see one of them in the first round but if we don't, maybe someone else can take them out for us and clear the path.
seriously, i still don't think too much of our team but at the end of the day, the finals are not totally out of the question. after all, we're sharing a playoff bracket with philadelphia, atlanta and washington. someone has to make the finals. if you throw in an upset somewhere, it almost makes it likely that the EC finals rep is going to be a mediocre group in the middle of a rebuilding plan. sort of funny, sort of not.
i like the idea that we play detroit to see where we stand. but honestly, i already believe in the potential of this team. if we can find a way to sneak into the finals (think of how ridiculous that sounds) i expect players like kapono, bargnani, calderon, moon and parker to be coming to the court imposing their will on teams on account of simply playing in the finals. whether we 'deserve' to be there or not, it'll surely be a confidence boost. and all this team needs is confidence, imo. we won't be able to see where we stand until we begin to play with it.
peace

Re: Who would you rather face?
I don't think Detroit cares whether they play Philly or Toronto. They have the experience edge over Philly and they obviously have a lot of success against the Raptors. Because we play the 3rd seed and because 2nd and 3rd seed are in the same bracket, if we beat Orlando then we will most definitely meet Detroit in the 2nd round. I don't really see Philly have any real chance beating any of the top teams.

Re: Who would you rather face?
wow..the homerism is ridiculous. We suck, were not beating anyone in the playoffs, best case we win one game against Detroit.

Re: Who would you rather face?
best case is we play orlando, and i can easily see us beating the magic. are you kidding me
and that first detroit comment, i'm pretty sure is what you call sarcasm.
we have to keep winning
we have to hold this 6th spot, i think were a game & a half ahead
we get Detroit tommorow, trying for our 2nd win in a row over the pistons.. they should bring out the zoo crew, they would still be tough for toronto but then maybe we could steal a 2nd win ahaha
