Raptors fans are split on this trade, which would send Andre and a rookie to Toronto for Jose Calderon, Demar DeRozan, and change. I think the one thing Toronto is lacking(besides their many other deficiencies) is a quality two-guard. Iguodala would definitely feel that void, but it all depends on how much they’d be willing to part with All-Star Biathlete Competitor Demar DeRozan. I mean, he’s already a star, competing in the Dunk Contest and the All-Star Rookie Challenge.
what do you guys think?

I don't like it. Iguodala's game hasn't improved since couple years ago and while he's a good player I don't think you would want to pay him that much money for the next 4 years. Moreover if you look at AI's rookie numbers it is almost identical to DD's numbers so theres a chance that DeRozan might become a similar player in a couple of years.
Don't know if its cause of the new system they run in philly but Andre turned into a jump shooter this year we have enough of those already plus is contract is horrible
if calderon doesn't pick up his game and stop listening to toronto-centric press, he could move from being "hard to trade" to "absolutely untradeable" within 12 months.
honestly, i don't expect him to turn the corner (in more ways than one). i am so irked by the calderon we've seen since he wrestled the starting job away from tj that i'd be willing to move him for cap room at this point... or even cap flex. bring him back when he wants to be a coach, then he can talk all he wants and we can reminisce about the good ol' days... that didn't have so many good ol' memories.
i'm being crude, granted, but i'm so tired of him. if we were in europe the fans would be all over him. if we were in the states the fans would be all over him. of course we're in canada and we think he's classy.
did you know his ft% has dipped 17% since last year? that must be another record.
jose's refusal to run the break is as glaring now as ever. we finally have at least four guys who are real threats in the open court (weems, belinelli, derozan, amir) and we should be running like crazy. watching jose pull out and set-up in the halfcourt is one of the most infuriating sights for me.
don't get me wrong, he could still be a great player. he just needs to change his approach- again. he needs to start playing like a basketball player again, and put away the clipboard he's been using religiously for 48 mpg. some players say pg's are coaches, and i think this is where jose was led down the wrong path. i say pg's are pg's.
for me, it always comes down to fun. has anyone ever enjoyed playing with a coach? no. there's a reason why you leave coaches on the sidelines. move the ball, jose. you don't have to diagram every play you make and every step you take.
not familiar with the site, but i just thought i'd share

horrible deal, at this stage i won't include demar in any deals...guy is young and very coachable
iguodala's game has reach ceiling he is just another richard jefferson
the good thing of jose setting up the half court set is the run n gun wont work well in the playoffs, howeverwith the 2bnd unit he should be speeding things up.
