Re: Raptors Daily Discussion 2012/13
Stephen Curry and Ty Lawson both signed deals to extend their respective stays. They are the only two 1st round picks along with Griffin to sign such extensions.
Midnight tonight (I think) is the close of play for DeMar to receive an extension. I think he's worth $6/7m a year right now, but with the above deals being closer to $10+ m a year, he might think he's worth more.

this is awesome. Perfect strangers was one of my fave tv shows. Loved Brezec in the opening credits and Colangelo's face in the sun. Sign should have said Toronto or Burst though. Overall great though.

Re: Raptors Daily Discussion 2012/13
Never really took the time to look at these boards, is there no game threads? or post game threads?
Maybe I missed it somewhere, but the last 4 minutes of last nights game was a joke. Normally I love Casey but he got out coached last night. Where was the time out during that 11-2 run? Then he calls one down by 2 with 2 seconds left and runs a play that calls for a turn around fade away jump shot, and not to mention he called it for Bargs with struggled after the 1st. Why have Jose inbound the ball there? He was consistant all night. Why not let Lowry put up a shot? Hate the DeRozan contract. Package him and Bargs for a high end wing that can score. Building the team around JV and Lowry is the only way we have a hope in the future. BC has to drop his stupid man crush on Bargs. I know his shooting will improve but he is to much of a liability on D and the Boards. Should have won last night, and with our crazy sched to start the year every win means that much more.

Re: Raptors Daily Discussion 2012/13
What's the feeling on Pietrus and the loss of McGuire? I've heard of him before but can't place or recall anything on him. Have we gotten better or just side stepped as usual?? I didn't think McGuire was all that good but also don't think we gave him enough of a chance either. At least Colangelo is willing to shake up the roster and keep tweaking .... Should put an extra step in the bench players knowing that their spots aren't set in stone.

Re: Raptors Daily Discussion 2012/13
I do like McGuire as a guy to stash on your bench and think he does have a role in this league as a wing-defender. At the same time I'm very whatever about Pietrus. I get we need the shooting, and McGuire isn't really good enough to get upset about cutting. I'm indifferent. Pietrus is good enough to play and push Landry for some minutes when he gets back, I guess.

Re: Raptors Daily Discussion 2012/13
Thanks guys!! I was thinking 8ppg wasn't too much to get excited about and now I know the rest of the story. Anything that'll improve our scoring options on the second unit would be great. Cause there are times when we really depend on them and they're almost out performing the starting five.
Porn ... If that call ever comes through from BC.... I'm expecting major kickbacks and freebies from you!!
