Doesn't a team have to be truly elite in something to be a contender?
You're right. But Gay doesn't make us elite in any aspect either. And we give up too much to bring him in. And his contract is less than ideal as well

We may not be elite at anything, but we are young and still rank amoungst the best in some categories.

Assists - 8th with 17.6
Turnovers - 2nd with 12.1
Offensive efficiency - 12th


And with such a young team and being 2nd in the league in turnovers is kind of a good sign right?
