JaVale Mcgee

I just heard on Tim & Sid that the sixes are going to buy out Javale Mcgee. I wanted the raptors to sign Larry Sanders but Javale Mcgee has even more length than him and strangely enough I think he might be less disruptive to the team chemistry. I know he is not as mobile after his injury but I think he could thrive in a backup role on the raptors.

What do you guys think?

Re: Javale Mcgee

The guy is really, reeeeeaaaaalllly stupid. He could have a harmful effect on the Raps.

The Raps could use a shake up, but I'd be against this. He has all the talent to be the best backup big come playoff time, or he could decide he hates playing in Toronto.

At the end of the day, there's a reason teams keep getting rid of him.

Ya I wouldn't want him as a 3rd big or anything. I don't really know where he sees his role at this point in his career but I see him just spelling JV.

Apparently he has ties to Massai Ujiri. I think if his role on the team is simple and well defined and he buys into it; he could really improve the team.

Oh I absolutely agree that if his head is on straight and he buys in he would improve the team quite a bit. Problem is, it's hard to say if that would happen or not.

Re: Javale Mcgee

release Stigsma and sign him we need a lanky back up C to JV that can secure long rebounds. We really need a big upgrade at the 4, sad its time we move on from Amir.
Amir did a lot of good things in yesterday's game against the spurs. I think the raptors should let him test FA but I defiantly wouldn't be against keeping him at a reasonable price. No post game but i love his athleticism and knack for securing tough offensive rebounds and getting tough put backs. Those kind of baskets seem to get the whole team going.

Re: Javale Mcgee

We need a better rebounder and low post player than Amir ala West.
I don't think we should give Amir 8-9 mill, he is a great locker room guy but for us to get to the next level we need a better starter perhaps chase Tristan Thomas
