I always used to get confused because american sports list the away team first . Bayern plays at Milan and Liverpool at Eindhoven.
Most important match of the year for Bayern (as all remaining CL matches), unfortunately van Bommel and Kahn won't play until the return leg. Milan's defense is a bit battered as well, since both Maldini and Nesta are fighting/coming back from injuries (afaik). Despite his lack of form, I just hope Inzaghi doesn't come in, he almost single-handedly destroyed Bayern last year.

Great result for Bayern, who almost got screwed by another penalty!skandal. They should easily be able to take the 2nd leg at home.
Liverpool looked almost the strongest I've seen them. Onward to the semifinals!

Gilardino's offside goal should have counted though, but I agree, horrible call. That late goal felt sooooo good .
Bayern couldn't buy a precise pass and are lucky to get away with this result. Only Lucio played outstanding, due to his physique he's probably the best match for defending Kaka, who had a rather quiet game. But Milan's midfield is extremly well put together, they fit ideally. Pirlo is an amazing passer (duh) and Seedorf seems to always find the right spots and moves exceptionally well off the ball (I counted quite a few times he should have gotten the ball, but didn't).
I hope the return of van Bommel gives Bayern more stability and playmaking in the middle, because their only weapon - Lahm/Schweinstaiger rotating, but NEVER going through to the line and ALWAYS cutting to the middle - can be figured out rather easily. Plus, Gilardino got his third yellow, so he isn't going to be in Munich squandering chances like today - Inzaghi would've made them.
I think neither team is going to give ManU (given they qualify, of course) much trouble, unless Bayern keeps on being lucky or one of Milan's strikers gets back in form.
Didn't see the PSV game, but meh. I was rooting for them, it's a shame they couldn't at least keep it close.

PSV looked terrible but that was to be expected with their form poor going into the match, they lost 5-1 to Ajax prior to this as well as losing Alex and Arouna Kone, this was pretty much a gimme for Liverpool.
I'm surprised you are rating ManUnited this highly, our European form is nowhere close to our PL form, I'm not even that confident about beating Roma. The players know the league is our main focus and the CL is second. However we know Ronaldo or Rooney(if he decides to start scoring in Europe again) can win a match with a moment of brilliance and there's no way Cassetti or Panucci can stop Ronaldo.

*Sign* our strikers suck as always and our defense sucks when it mattered. i guess it is not over yet. But I know it, play the 1st leg at home is not good, damn.

Park injury is a big loss with the form he is in and his ability to fight to regain possesion. Hopefully Fletch's fitness is up to scratch.
