Hopefully they go out and fill out the side this summer.

Thanks to Fatty Ronaldo we finally can rest Kaka for a couple of games. And when needed our ancient defenders are very useful

The CL is not the be all and end all of competition, winning your league is a greater sign of a team, it is the mark of consistency. It doesn't say a lot when the two teams in the final are more than 15+ pts off the first place team in their domestic league.
I will also be cheering for Milan in the final, Go Rossoneri!

Though to be fair, if there's a team in the world with enough depth to pull it off, it's Chelsea. But that also shows some amount of chemistry is needed, and when you get the depth sometimes you don't get the chemistry. It's just a shame to see a team like Liverpool play negative ugly football and have that be one of the sides in the final. I hate Arsenal, but at least you could never accuse them of playing ugly negative football.

Re: 2006/07 Champions League Semifinal
I have this fear now of Milan giving up a fluke goal thanks to Dida's inepitude, and then Liverpool holding on to a 1-0 result. If there is a god, he surely would not let those scum win another champions league title.
Interesting sidebar. Liverpool have not won a league title since 1990. Champions league indeed.

And about depth, this season Inter team is seriously deep but they are not born for the International competition.

Re: 2006/07 Champions League Semifinal
Man U could have easily rebounded from Kaka's early goal, but the ****-up at the back cost them the match. Those kind of gaffes are just inexcusable. I'm not a Man U fan and was pulling for Milan, but down 1-0 would have been manageable especially since they just needed a draw.
Gattuso is magnificent. Can't say enough about how he completely took Ronaldo out of the equation and nobody else on Man U looked capable of taking over the match. Ronaldo misplayed a lot of balls today too. Rain probably played a factor in the speed and rotation of the ball on a lot of plays.
It wasn't as good a match as I was hoping for, but since I so very rarely get to watch football on television, it was a treat.

Re: 2006/07 Champions League Semifinal
Sounds like a few sour grapes are being picked by a certain Manure fan. Listen, Liverpool made it. Manure didn't. Negative football, blah blah blah. Chelski had as much of a negative plan last night. There was no negative football against PSV nor Barcelona. Different match ups different game plans.
Kudos to Milan, they certainly outclassed Manure tonight. Some squads are just superior in cups. Liverpool is NOT a deep team despite what people on here are claiming.

Re: 2006/07 Champions League Semifinal
If Liverpool win it will further validate the Champions League as nothing more than show pony lottery. They are like 20 points back of United! And you're going to tell me that them winning the CL could possibly mean they are the better side? Hell we already beat Liverpool this year. AT ANFIELD.
Liverpool is everything that's wrong with English Football. I hope the Italians straighten them right out like they should have done in Istanbul.
There are two teams that matter in english football this year. Chelsea and United. If Liverpool fans think making the CL final puts them in that conversation then they are in denial.
