Re: 2006/07 Champions League Semifinal
If it weren't for Dida we could have had 5 goals. That Fletcher shot should have been a goal by all rights. And he also stopped a real cracker of a shot by Ronaldo. He was under assault all game, whereas the ManU defense was really only tested a few times, and that was enough to beat it. But if Milan aren't going to attack the back line of United, they won't expose them for the inexperience biles of piss they are right now. Evra was the only first choice defender back there today. And he'll be out for the next game.
Supposedly we'll have Neville back though for the next game. He might be able to play a better center back than Heinze.

Just a magical run so far for United this year. I won't believe we're out of it, till we're out of it.

Please, ManU scored the 2nd goal when they were least organized and it looked like Milan gonna have a 3rd goal. Still, we couldnt attack simply because you cant do jack when you out of gas. And yes, I am content with 2-3 lol

Re: 2006/07 Champions League Semifinal
Sorry but you'll get no sympathy for me after Kaka scored a goal because three Man Utd defenders ran each other over. It doesn't get much more disorganized than what we trotted out at the back today. I think Paul Scholes scoop pass was far more genius than anything involved in Kaka's second goal.

umm, that ****head is good at reflexing and nothing else. He was once one of the best (if not the best) goalkeeper in the world but since he was hit with fireworks from the game vs Inter, he has gone downhill from there, a prone to make mistakes, i dont trust him anymore.

Of course we dont need sympathy. We lost the game fair and square but i just pointed out our problems. I dont say something like IF we didnt make mistake we would have won it..

We really miss Gattuso, when he still on the court you can feel him everywhere but when he is out Brocchi is no where to be found and ManU get the control of the midfield and it is the key.
2-2 is better than 2-3 of course but when playing with ManU you play to win not to draw so it would help us a little ans stay away from Munich's road.
Final rant, Kick that ****head Dida out, how in the world we resign him a new contract when he ****ed us up many times this season? I want Buffon or at least Amelia God Damnit.
Well, COngrat ManU, the gate is still open for both teams and I hope we will have another exciting game like this.

A good sensible post unlike some other people here.
Milan was probably the better team in the first half, good technical Italian style team that likes to keep posession. But outside of Kaka no other player really looked threatening. Milan's attack consisted pretty much combinations between Seedorf and Kaka. Gilardino was pretty bad, couldn't hold up the ball or win headers. I expected more from Pirlo but he looked vastly invisible, his English counterpart Carrick looked the better player today (barring that horrible miss). I have to say outside of Kaka, Darren Fletcher was the best midfielder today, he has heart and much more skilled than the typical British midfielder. Won so many 50/50 balls for us. Ronaldo wasn't at his best today, he reverted back to his old ways but was still threatening. Rooney what can I say, he has come along way since he was 18 and last battled Nesta and Maldini, he is much more refined now, before he was just playing on raw talent. People can blame the goal on Dida being crap but it was a powerful shot with Nesta shadowing him. Also that play where Rooney's touch left Nesta stranded was genius. I'm also pissed about that yellow on Evra...clearly a bogus call now he misses the second leg.
As Nguyen already stated, Milan was pretty fatigued, strange as they were rested during the weekend and United looked exhausted against Middlesbrough. It will be a big loss for Milan if Gattuso is out. It will definitely be tough going to Milan, United have not played great away and I will have a heart attack watching Brown and Heinze. Praying Ferdinand has a miraculous recovery or Vidic for that matter.

Re: 2006/07 Champions League Semifinal
How far has Darren Fletcher come as a player these last few years? Good grief. He has some skills in his bag, runs like a maniac, good tackler, good in the air--he just keeps getting stronger and stronger. Perhaps HE is our new Roy Keane?!
