He wasn't bad, but this was Kaka's game.

Kaka outplayed Ronaldo, clearly. Ronaldo decided to play his '18 year old game' and try to dribble the whole team, maybe he was too caught up in the media hype of Kaka vs Ronaldo. I was pretty mad at him today, hope he passes it more next week.
I also hope Scholes doesn't pickup a yellow card barring we advance to the finals. He already missed the 99' final through suspension and it will devastate him if he misses another one.

Re: 2006/07 Champions League Semifinal
Where was the work rate? All I saw was another lazy brazillian midfielder capatlizing on the mistakes of others, not his own individual brilliance. Kaka is a fantastic player, but I don't think he has the desire that Ronaldo has, nor the genius that Ronaldinho has. If Ronaldinho was on form he's better than Kaka and Ronaldo, we all know that. But without Dinho on form, then Ronaldo is the better player this year between the two. Though this first leg was pretty much a draw.
This was definitely not the conclusive argument either of our sides were looking for in resolving the best player in the world debate.

Rubbish. I agree we didn't see all of what Ronaldo has in his bag, but he caused the first goal, and could have very easily netted a second. His dribbling routinely bedeviled the old and slow Milan defense and I think was integral in a lot of the fatigue we saw from them in the second half. How can you say Kaka outplayed Ronaldo when he barely touched the ball in the second half! He should have done a lot better against such an outclassed back line as we had. His failure to capitalize could cost Milan.

*****ing about kaká's workrate when he plays practically as a forward is almost as smart as rooting for manU. ronaldo doesn't defend either, but no one thinks he should if he plays as well as he has this season.

kaká didn't capitalize? I must have been dreaming when he scored twice. what more do you expect in an away match at old trafford? would a hattrick been good enough? anyway, it's no wonder he didn't do much in the second half when the whole milan team, like always, started to only defend..
those ronaldo stepovers sure are nice if they, without any end-result are enough to beat 2 goals..

Kaka had two runs in the second half that were threatening, the fact that Milan sat back pretty much eliminated Kaka from the game. He can hardly be blamed for that. 2 goals and the main Milan theat, I stand by my decision.
Anyways Futur, enjoy the win, the weather is nice, school is almost out, and United are on pace to grab a treble, life is good
now a Raptor win will be the icing on the cake

All I'm saying is that Kaka should come to Man United if he wants to play real attacking entertaining football. If he wants to play that cynical crap the italians play, then by all means stay there.
Also it's raining here

Re: 2006/07 Champions League Semifinal
IMO, the turning point of the game was when Gattuso had to go off injured. Up until that point in the second half, Milan through Kaka had threatened to kill the tie off with a third. Once Gatttuso and his work rate was gone, Carrick was afforded time on the ball and was able to get into the game, and then so did Scholes, which allowed Man U to dominate the midfield and the match in the second half.

Thank god it happened there though, instead of in the midfield where we are paper thin.

No doubt. Buying the manager of Middlesborough to play for you would be FUBAR.

Re: 2006/07 Champions League Semifinal
I meant Woodgate. Too many Gates are Boro. But yes. Buying Boro's manager would make as much sense as buying their defender, as we've more than got that position covered. Neither would play much.
