Re: 2007-08 Champions League Final
Of course some English player had to miss a crucial penalty ... I just don't understand how they can still miss so badly sometimes. You could see it coming though, also with Ronaldo, players who don't look confident or are flattered often miss.
Deserving or not is always hard to say in a final, ManU was clearly the better team in the first half, but ever since Chelsea had control of the game and some bad luck on Drogba's and Lampard's shots.

It should have been forfeited, seriously. Just like Michel should have blown the whistle before van der Sar was "ready", it's bad sportsmanship on the goalie's part.

You could see it coming with Anelka, I knew he would miss, he was shaking in his boots. It says it all when a supposed top striker doesn't put his hand up to be in the first 5 pk takers. the guy has all the talent in the world but the spine of a jellyfish, cant believe I wanted Arsenal to buy him earlier in January.

Thanks, it was indeed a rollercoaster of emotions in a span of a few minutes, the feeling is brilliant though, this doesn't happen often and just gotta cherish it when it does.
95 million pounds hmm, I heard winner gets like 20 million euros. On top of that CL TV revenue would be around 60 million euros.

Re: 2007-08 Champions League Final
wow what a great match! tevez and ferdinand were Chelsea's best players and they still lost.. i was rooting for Ballack cause im German but i was happy to see a great match out there. was great to see Chelsea turn things around in the second half. they were attacking or on ManU's side basically the whole time.. but alas penalty kicks judged the outcome. congrats ManU.. and poor poor Terry.. i hope someone is watching and supporting him

It's actually been allowed now, so you can do it.
And great game. Drogba is one stupid, stupid boy. I feel sorry for Terry, but penalty is all about luck, and United got their bit of luck, after Chelsea's 2nd goal. On a side note, Nani is an absolute freak, did anyone see him dancing as a celebration?
