There are two reasons in my opinion why the Jazz are 0-2. First the Jazz have several new people on the team. Harpring, Jackson, Cheaney, and Arroyo. Everybody but Arroyo is in the Jazz main rotation. Teams with several new guys will usually struggle during the early part of the season because they need to get used to the way everybody plays and learn the offense. It becomes more evident in the Jazz offense which is more complex compared to other teams in the league. Second is the same thing that hurt the Jazz last year which is turnovers. The Jazz had 20 turnovers against New Orleans and 21 turnovers against Atlanta. Anything over 15 turnovers in my opinion is too much and anything over 20 turnovers can be a game killer.

The Jazz need to do a better job of taking care of the ball. The Jazz might have beat Atlanta if the Jazz turnover the ball 15 times instead of 21 times. Below is links to the Jazz's first two boxscores.
