Jazz's 3rd PG

Apparently the Jazz want to have a 3rd PG just in case Arroyo or Lopez get injured. Here are the players most likely to be considered:

Shammond Williams
Brevin Knight
Rusty Larue
Doug Overton
Kenny Anderson
JR Bremer
Darrick Martin
Mark Jackson
Rod Strickland
Mateen Cleaves
Bimbo Coles
Robert Pack
Travis Best

The Salt Lake Times prefer Knight, Larue or Martin. Who would you like to see?

Kenny Anderson is a team cancer. I think Knight would be the best fit.

Horrible list, but out of those guys I'd take Bremer just because he's such a change of pace from Arroyo and Lopez. Knight is a better point guard by far, but I wouldn't mind seeing us use Bremer like the Kings used Damon Jones a couple years ago.

Word has it that the Jazz brass are looking for a veteran - not sure if Bremer fits into that category yet. If he can return to his rookie form though, he'd be a great pickup.

Darrick Martin could do the job. After all, you may be only looking at 5 mins per game.

Right, I in no way expect them to go after Bremer.. they'll get a Brevin Knight or a Darrick Martin, I personally would just rather see us get Bremer. He would get minutes in garbage time, but much like D. Jones could come in when we were desperate for some offense or trying to make a fierce comeback or whatever and hit a couple treys. Carlos and Raul are both below average bombers, it would be nice to have someone at that position who could go out there and knock down some threes cold off the bench. I don't think Brevin Knight has hit a shot beyond 10 feet in his life. He makes Jason Kidd look like Rip Hamilton.

I don't really get what you are trying to say here... Jason Kidd has more range than Rip.. Unless ofcourse you mean Rip is a better shooter .. Haha I'm bored..

Better idea: Try to trade Dickau (and Steffanson too, if necessary) to Utah and get back the pick that Dallas will send to Utah in the Podkolzine trade.

Rip is one of the best mid-range shooters in the game, Kidd is a terrible shooter. Brevin Knight is bad enough that he makes Kidd look good. Sorry for the confusing analogy.

Darrick Martin

I think Martin would be perfect for this team. They need a slow-it-down point guard in the playoffs who can help them hold a lead when they are in full-defensive mode. The veteran leadership would be perfect, as well. The guy doesn't NEED minutes to have a positive impact on the franchise and he can be had on the extreme cheap.

Definitely Bimbo Coles. You get veteran experience AND a guy with a hilarious first name.
