Anyone have any idea where he's going to end up once he's a free agent? Will he retire, stay with the team, or sign with someone else?

I heard rumors of him going to the Lakers or Mavs, to possibly win a championship. I think he will just stay with the Jazz and get the scoring record.

I think he will stay with the Jazz. I would be very surprised if he retires. I don't think he will go to the Lakers. I think that would hurt his legacy and his relationship with the Utah fans. What would a ring on the coattails of Shaq and Kobe do for his legacy? He has businesses especially car dealerships that rely on his name and ties to the Jazz to be successful. If he alienated the fans by going to LA they would be damaged. Utah fans would be OK with him leaving and pushing a contender over the top. It will be interesting to see what happens

If Stockton returns he'll probably stay in Utah for another year. If Stockton retires Malone'll probably go to a contender like the Mavs or Lakers. It might hurt his legacy in Utah, but I think Malone wants that ring really bad. He's done everything else there is to do: MVP, Olympic gold, Conference Champion. All he hasn't done is win a title.

He'll stay in Utah if Stockton stays another year. I woul dbe upset if he joined another team, but I can't blame the guy for wanting a championship.

I still reckon there's a good chance of him staying on anyway. He seems the loyal type. He has a system he fits into well, and he can still deliver the goods.

He will always be my hero no matter what.

I love the Jazz and Karl, but I'd like to see him get a ring...and unfortunately that won't happen in Salt Lake City.

And with new talk of his wipe househunting in San Antonio and Los Angeles, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him leave.

i hope none of them do... they should both join miami... and retire in the sun..

I think Malone will start a flurry of great vets who could never win it all finishing up in LA so they could retire at peace with a championship or two.
