Rebuilding the Jazz

Who do you think they should go after in the draft? They need an athlete ... bad. They can't keep up with anybody. My number one choice for them is Micheal Peitrus if he's still around. Then, Carlos Delfino. In the second, Marvin Stone would be a good choice cause he's talented and big enough to be the Jazz's PF of the future. The only players worth keeping around for the rebuilding process are Jackson and Ostertag for vet leadership, and Harpring and Kirelinko talent-wise. Cheany would make a good backup SG. This team's got some work to do. You'd think they could've gotten better talent over the years with PF and PG taken care of for two decades. I don't think an undersized PF should be replacing Malone. When you're rebuilding, you gotta go with the best player available. Austin and West should be gone when the Jazz pick. There won't be any big guys worthy of that pick, save Brian Cook. Harpring gives them flexibility when drafting in the first because he can play either the 3 or 2. As for AK47, I love him, but the Jazz need him as that spark plug off the bench. Should that Arroyo guy (PG) be starting in a couple of years? He looks like a stud. Ron Slay could be good in the second. He's a little undersized, but instant offense.
As long as Sloan's around, they'll always have a chance.

I'd like to hear some Jazz fans' opinions.

First off, if we keep Ostertag around, I'll shoot myself. He's worthless.

About the draft: we need a LOT. We need a few good athletes, a scoring guard, a pure shooter, and a capable big body...and I imagine it would be pretty hard to get all that in just 2 rounds. Watching Ostertag guard C-Webb a few nights ago was painful...it wasn't so bad inside, but when Webber went outside, Tag was nowhere to be found. It seemed like he hit jumper after jumper. And he can't stay in front of a soul if they decided to put it on the floor...

The only reason Osterteg is gaurding him is to keep Malone out of foul trouble.

Actually Oastertag is the only player on the Jazz who has done anything to try to win the series against the Kings....

He was involved in messing up Webbers ankle....
