Bad news for those of you who want to see drastic changes in the Jazz philosophy.
Sloan is returning. As I said in a thread yesterday, I think this means that Sloan plans on coaching for several more years. I don't think he will retire after his contract expires next year. The fact that he is coming back probably means that he will stay through the rebuilding. I expect this means he will coach the Jazz at least 4-5 more years.
Do you think he can do it? He is the guy that lead a young Jazz team from a team fighting to get into the playoffs every year to a title contender. He did it once. Can he do it again? Can he meld players and system into a title contending team.
