I am just sick of people ripping the jazz for extending jerry sloan. The man is a rock. People say that his philosophy won't work for the new style of players and that he doesn't develop young talent.
First, tell me what coaches are absolute in their philosophy. Don't even say Phil Jackson, the triangle offense is Tex Winter's. He wouldn't be a coach in the NBA if he couldn't adapt.
Second, some people have lost access to their long term memory and only think of Deshawn. We are forgetting what he did for Bryon Russell (2nd round), jaque vaughn, Howard Eisley, Shannon Anderson.

I agree. He was also able to do it with Stockton and Malone when he came to the Jazz. Give him a chance.

Jerry's only prob. Is he plays old school basketball. He needs to take it above the rim.

jerry is a little "old-school", but he does something that no other coach in the NBA can do. GET THE BEST OUT OF EVERY PLAYER. (with an exception to ameach dawg). and i think he's going to surprise a lot of people next year. hes gonna have a lot of fun because stockton and malone wont be the ones running the team half the time. he'll be able to experiment a little. he'll have the team to himself and i think you'll see a different jerry than youre used to seeing. can you say "run and gun offense"? who knows, we'll see.
