Re: who won now........??

I don't hate the guy, I hate his game. His way of shooting the ball every time he touched it was a big reason. He just wasn't good, and he didn't follow the system and played out of it. It looked like he didn't have the basketball knowledge to back up his skill. That looks to be the same with hoffa. I hate both humphries and hoffas game, and at any point I would of traded humphries for a bag of peanuts and large coke.

Re: who won now........??

Not sure what Toronto's Offensive scheme is, but if there isn't much to it then Humphries can play some.

What he is not is an intelligent basketball player. Jazz O is based on read and recognition after the initial play was ran. Humprhies 75% of the time would a) be out of position or b) not understand the progression of a play and get himself lost and disrupt the play for the other four.

From what I read, he never had to learn basketball knowledge until he got to the NBA. His year at Minnesota was toss the ball down low to Humphries and try to score. Not much to that.

Re: who won now........??

Sometimes it gets pointless to argue with people that only watch the box scores...

Granted it is only preseason, but I have liked what I have seen of his game in the minutes he has played. I do not think that he is in the 6th man of the year running, nor is he a threat to start. I do think that he can be a 12-15 minute per game player, bringing in some hustle. He seems to be an above average athlete and is fairly quick for a power forward, as shown with a few one or two dribble power moves to the hoop with a Dunk as the finnish.

I am un sure who it is that has only seen the box scores, it is not me!

Is Humpries going to be better for Toronto then Hoffa? Yes!
Will Millsap be a better player for Utah then Humphries was, probably...I have not seen enough of him to know for sure.

Re: who won now........??

I was referring to the original thread starter as he seems to have done nothing but watch box scores of either player and claim that one is better. Truthfully, watching Humphries play was like watching a kid getting pushed around in a mosh pit. He had no idea what he is doing. I don't know what would suddenly change overnight, and my money says that this person hasn't even seen him play, being that I doubt they would put preseason Raptor games on television.

All in all, it's just annoying to have little kids run in here and gloat about Kris freakin' Humphries.

All but one of the Raptors preseason games were on "Raptor's TV". They also replay them in a hour long format after the fact. Hump has looked good....not great, but good. He may not be "there" yet, but as long as he is showing signs of improvement, I 'll take it. He is only 21!

Sorry that this thread has gone on so long about one thing.

That being said, good luck with the season, I hope AK47 stays healthy and Williams continues to get better. I also hope that Matt Harpring(my favorite Jazz player) has a good year!

Re: who won now........??

Oh... my bad. We aren't so fortunate here and I wouldn't think the Raptors would air their preseason games as I didn't think they had a big following up there.

Hum, anyway... the point is that Hump is not all he is cracked up to be. Last year during the summer leagues he looked like a man among boys. Once he played the big boys, he looked like a weenie, so I wouldn't get too excited about when he plays when the games don't matter.

This is why I am not worried abut losing humphries.
