I would like to start off by saying Basketballboards.net is a great online community to talk about basketball and other things and feel comfortable doing so. However, just like any community, it requires cooperation from its members in order to help it grow.
I'm a pretty easygoing guy, as are most mods. Just follow a few simple rules and I'm sure we'll get along great. Here are the rules I find are the most commonly broken...
- No personal attacks - If you happen to disagree with another person's post, please make sure your comments are towards the post itself and not the poster.
- No baiting - I know we have a good group of posters here, don't give us a bad name on the rest of the site by going into the forums of other teams and making posts just to rile up the fans of the other team. The same thing goes for fans of other teams who visit this forum. I like having fans of other team visit my forums, but please be respectful and don't bait.
- No masked swearing - I don't know about the other mod(s) of this forum, but I don't mind some swearing, just don't go overboard and don't mask it. This site has a censor which automatically blanks out some words with a series of *s, any attempt to get around the censor is against the rules.

Moderators are here for a reason and are always accessible. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to PM a moderator. I am also usually available to help or answer questions on AIM. I go by gambitnut on AIM as well.
